Really the best pizza we have had. It is one if the rare restaurants that offered both gluten free and vegetarian. The service was excellent with very helpful and friendly staff. We had a great meal.

Experience a truly South African dining experience at Nando's in Kokstad. Our flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken restaurants are world famous for their succulent, grilled to perfection, butterfly-cut chickens. Add spice to your life with a meal from our Portuguese style menu. We've set the eating experience on fire and we can't wait for you to join our table because if there's one thing we love as much as PERi-PERi, it's lots of people to enjoy it with!
Having arrived at a rather dissmal guesthouse in a very dissmal town of Kokstad expecting a self-catering set up...but having to get a take-away dinner we decided on Nando's (my wife being German has never had the opportunity)!!! What a refreshing moment to be greeted with such a friendly face and a great smiling welcome, topped with fast service and really great tasting food!!!

The Loafer is in the process of getting a new hip, so that he can get back onto his coffee making duties. On Tuesday the 3rd April 2018, the café will be closed for a doctor's appointment. We look forward to poking him with his walking stick once he's healed. Down to earth, welcoming little cafe. The best coffee you will find for miles around these parts, home made bread, Banting bread and snacks, and really tasty meals. John and Gail look forward to welcoming you into their cafe. In winter we are open between 9am and 15.30, if you need a meal or a coffee before that, please call, as John can often be found baking in the mornings, and if you don't mind the flour dust, and a leisurely wait, he will happily make you a coffee. On the first Saturday of the month, we are also open from 8am - 1pm, for a fantastic farmers market that takes place on on the lawns.
Nice food, good service, great people - what's not to like! We really enjoyed the sandwiches, which were baked with nice homemade bread. If you are in a hurry this might not be the place to visit; however, if you have a few minutes to sit back and relax as you are traveling through Kokstad, it is worth the time.
