Small family run hotel overlooking Pentland Firth & Orkney Isles. 300Yds from Orkney ferry terminal. Real Ale, over 100 malt whisky's personally selected wine list. Food served daily by our team of local chefs, using the best local seasonal produce.
Dined here for lunch with friends and it wasn't a culinary experience. Service was friendly but the food could only be described as average at best. The plates were cold and so was the food. The bar area lacks any atmosphere and the Seaview needs to up it's game to deliver food that delivers what the menu promises. We won't be rushing back.

The expectations from the outside are quite different to inside. Generic products, no great USP, and greatly inflated prices. Specifically with regard to the Starbucks claim. I regularly enjoy the same coffee at various Starbucks countrywide - yours was very different.

Mainland Scotland's Northernmost takeaway. Freshly cooked Fish and Chips, Burgers, Hotdogs, Vegetarian, Haggis, Bacon and Eggs and Homemade soup.Locally sourced ingredients where available .Outdoor Seating, cash preferred. cards accepted.
If you read about the NC500 or look at the Facebook group you can't help but read about The Cabin - so we had to stop here on our trip. Friendly service with a bit of banter, good coffee and excellent soup on our mid-morning stop.

Popped in here for a pot of decaf tea and a scone to warm me up a bit a the weather was not that great rain and a biting wind.
The tea was just as good as any were and scone was very good as well.

A family run Coffee House & Bistro in John O Groats. Our ethos is comfort food and good coffee at the top of the Mainland using local produce
What can I say apart from one should miss this place as the cost of soup is a little over eight pound a bowl. The rest of the food is priced like wise. We left feeling upset that we were charged an extortionate amount for simple food.
