Traveling up rt 22 and so hungry at lunchtime, we saw the small sign for the Tavern. Took a chance. Walked in, place was empty. Older man at the bar. Said, yes, lunch available. Okay.......WELL..... We had a burger and the chicken tenders and real tea iced tea. As soon as the burger went on the grill, we knew we were in the right place! This man can cook!! The food and fries were the best we'd had on our trip. And the cook was so friendly, talking with us while we ate. What a pleasure! And the place was immaculate . Don't miss this place!

My best friend, my husband and I were on our way to our hotel in Londonderry after visiting Ticonderoga. We saw the sign for the Sasquatch Saloon and just had to stop (we love cryptozoology related stuff). Our waitress was excellent, super friendly and very informed about the food--all fresh and locally sourced, nothing from big box suppliers. Although we live in coastal Maine, she made the vodka marinara pasta with scallops sound so delicious I had to try it--it was great, actually some of the best I've ever had (the bad news is it was a special, so it's not available all the time). My husband and friend got the Big Foot Burger and said it was good, I can say their fries were awesome! We sat on the back deck, overlooking the river with a beautiful willow tree in the corner (the inside was very cute and had a neat saloon feel, probably very cozy on cold nights). We didn't try them, but they had some area brews available. The prices varied from under $10 to $30ish, so there is something for everyone. The only bad thing was that we did have to rush out due to the fact our hotel had a cut-off time for check in, it would have been a really nice place to sit and enjoy a drink or dessert, plus we felt bad for going so quickly after such a great meal and nice service. Maybe we'll be back that way again and can give this place the time it deserves!Thank you so much for visiting. This review makes it all worthwhile. Hope to see you again for a relaxed evening!Sincerely Richard Corsetti Chef/owner
Stopped by here on a bike tour on the Manchester to Ticonderoga Leg and it was by chance we stumbled on it - but glad we did, not sure what might bring most folks through this little town, but if you are touring by and need good food with a really unexpectedly (from the outside) nice interior atmosphere, this is the place to go. Friendly service, great wings and burgers, wish I had been hungrier to tackle a larger plate, the food coming out of the kitchen looked great.
Had a great meal with family. Sis loved the stuffed flounder and calamari, Brother in law, spaghetti and meatballs, delicious seafood chowder and tasty garden salad with grilled shrimp and Chicken cordon bleu......maple walnut cake......yum.

Nice yo see the old restaurant done up so nicely. Kudos to a great job of decorating. It was clean, pleasant and wonderful to see. Oh and the food was good too. Spouse gave the meatball sub 2 thumbs up, excellent fries. I enjoyed a great turkey club and delicious soup. Hope to be back on our next trip.
