Typical pub food. Taste didn't match the description for my bland vegetarian dish. Staff asked how my meal was but were not really interested in honest feedback. Had to beckon a waiter to get our order taken. Options of two for one not explained before our order taken. Waitress could not count, 8 people and only 7 orders written down and therefore only 7 arrived. Mistakes happen but this was sloppy.Food average.

We visited on a Friday teatime, wonderful setting and ambiance. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Great choice of drinks , particularly beers. We have to say congratulations on your awesome table service, beautiful meals & great value for money. My husband & I had the lamb shanks & spaghetti bolognese & both meals were absolutely delicious & more than enough to eat. The lamb shanks came with extra vegetables cooked perfectly. To cap it off we were given beautiful warm towelettes. Our best in NZ so far!
