Restaurant in San Mateo that serves "California fresh" burgers, milkshakes and other items.
Really enjoyed our lunch at Jackâs. Hotdogs were available for the kids. I enjoyed a salmon sandwich that was very good. Seemed to be lots of locals in the restaurant who were regulars - always a good sign.

Missed lunch so decided on a late burger, and conveniently found this location in San Mateo. Good clean venue, and the burger was pretty good. Much better than McDonaldâs, although I havenât done a Mac for years, so going off memory. Not cheap, but plenty of it and well presented. Staff friendly to....

When you're looking for a local restaurant that does things differently, it can be tough to find. Luckily, your search is over. Three Craft Kitchen & Bar is a beautiful and fun farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of San Mateo, CA. Featuring seasonal Cal
Not much bad to say about this place. Nice decor, good location, friendly and attentive staff with affordable and tasty food. Two criticisms. One, my hot chocolate was not (by any stretch) and that could have been caught by the server. Regardless, when I pointed it out they quickly made a new one - nice offering on menu. Two, they could use more on tap options. It appears they very much want to be an awesome gastropub and they are well on their way if they could consider increasing their taps by 25-50%. i suggest you look past these very minor picks and find yourself at a great place to eat.Oh, and their free chips are very dangerous - save room for your meal and try not to look like a pig when chowning down on one after the other. Hard to stop.

I stopped here for dinner before heading off to SFO to pick up someone. My wife recommended this place because she follows Kenji López-Alt. I checked out some of this videos, and they're definitely informative, but just not sure it translated well into the food on this visit.I only tried two items:- Kenji's Korean Fried Chicken - Good and bad. The chicken and waffles tasted good, I liked the seasoning. But I felt the skin was just to tough/dense/hard. The mix of "hard" textured foods with spicy wasn't really a full win for me, as it made my mouth feel a bit too raw/sensitive.- Crispy Fried Potatoes - Good and bad. They look fanastic, and again, felt more "hard" than crispy. Insides stayed impressively hot for along time. I practically finished my chicken and the insides of these potatoes were still too hot to eat and had to wait longer for them to cool.Service was friendly and efficient.Overall, it was OK, but a little disappointing because I was expecting something more. Maybe I picked the wrong items. Would still consider trying one more time, but will probably stay away from this combination of items next time.

Many great beer choices and some wine options. Really nice to have a beer garden in the area. Seating with market umbrellas, heat lamps and outdoor fire pits. The waitstaff is knowledgeble on the beers, but they seem a bit short staffed. We went just after/around lunch time..and were EXTREMELY disappointed by the very few food options or even snacks. You can bring your own food..and best to go to the Whole Food shopping center to get something and bring it in Until they get with it and have a kitchen (vs. food is shipped in from their Berkeley location/vendor), you shouldn't expect to have beer and a burger here. We had a tamale and grilled cheese sandwich. The tamale is reheated onsite but arrived cold to our table. There are no real vegetarian options either. They didn't have anything but tamales until about an hour into our being there. I want to love this place bc it's unique to San Mateo and we always need more outdoor hot spots. It's close to Cal Train too. Dog friendly. And many families with small babies.
