My husband chose this as the destination for our regular drive in the MGB. It was a much longer drive than we thought, but it was well worth it once we got there. We were surprised that it was so busy for a weekday. The outdoor seating is quite extensive and well shaded. We both enjoyed the fish and chips which was hot and crispy and served with a delicious tartare sauce. The range of beers available is great.

The Balcony was a great lunchtime surf club dining experience-leisurely and relaxing with incredible ocean views looking directly across to Barrenjoey Lighthouse and Pittwater on a blue skies day. The four of us enjoyed very nice main meals including steaks and barramundi dishes with salad and chips and as they were Specials of the Day, good value for money. The staff were friendly and meals were delivered in very acceptable time. With the panoramc views whose in a hurry anyway!

A few of us decided to take a night off cooking to try out the Wednesday night â10 for $10.00â meals. Judging by the number of people there when we arrived, it looked promisingly popular. Itâs a bistro so expect to queue to order, and collect your own cutlery etc as the tables arenât set. Although busy we didnât have long to wait for our meals to be brought out, and the food verdicts from our group were: ticks for the grilled chicken breast with bacon & mushroom sauce (and worth paying $3 extra for mash & veg rather than chips & salad), the steak diane was apparently yum, the veal & chicken schnitzels were good but could have been improved with a sauce, the salt & pepper calamari was too salty, the chicken & bacon fettuccine was âokay for the priceâ but wouldnât get it again. The pizzas cooking in the wood-fired oven smelled great, so next time weâll be trying the pizza choices on the â10 for $10â menu. Donât go on specials night if youâre looking for a quiet dinner, but for a cheap get-together with friends during the week... it suited us.

Frankie's came as a bit of a surprise and a good surprise. The atmosphere is excellent, alive, vibrant and the staff were the same. Great fun and even though it was a cold night the heaters were well and truly up to it. Tapas food was good, a good sized portions and a good variety. Good place very enjoyable
