Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Chicago? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get
Below average food. Limited menu. Service was excellent or terrible. Depending on day and server. I was here 6 days. Crowd was loud and noisy as you would expect from a convention type hotel. We are sorry to hear about the service inconsistencies and your subpar impression of the food. We will let the management know that there is more work to bring our offerings up to the standard, and that the servers need some more direct guidance. We appreciate you letting us know how your experience with us has been, the feedback will turn into positive change! -PB

Are here while on a business trip with coworkers. Overall the restaurant is your typical sports bar and restaurant, it was hard to hear and have a conversation over the multiple TVs playing multiple NBA and baseball games- I would definitely recommend stopping here to watch games... to have a conversation with people, not so much! The food was typical of bar food, with the addition of a couple steak options. This restaurant has a pretty solid craft beer line up if you are interested in the Chicago craft beer scene. The only downside to this restaurant was the service- our waitress was slow to take our orders and we had to flag her down to get a refill- this in spite of the area we were sitting in being slow that evening. All in all- this was an ok experience that would have been better suited for catching a game with a small group of people, rather than a larger group, but the service definitely needs to improve.

I saw this place on Chicagoâs best and it was worth the drive! I had a maple pecan shake it was unbelievable! I ordered the Amazing Grace burger with pork belly atop crispy onion straws and a few other surprises. The burger was juicy and the bun soft and toasted. We got a free butter cookie that was thin and moist a has chopped pecans. Staff was nice also!
We were in the neighborhood and thought we would try The Local Tavern for lunch on an early Saturday afternoon. There is a decent-sized parking lot in front. The interior is pretty big. There is a large bar with plenty of TVs. Because we were there on St. Patrick's Day weekend, the bar was definitely decorated for St. Patrick's Day, even with green beer. The Local Tavern was recently renovated with its name change and it does certainly have a local patron feel to it. There are plenty of seats at the bar, as well as regular & high-top tables. Ania B. was our server and brought us menus and took our drink order. The menu is a little American, a little Mexican, a little Polish and yes, especially due to the weekend - a bit of Irish. We ordered the cabbage roll entree which came with two large GoÅÄ bki and mashed potatoes with red gravy. We also ordered the Polish plate which came with one GoÅÄ bki, one good-sized Polish sausage, three pierogi and sauerkraut, though we did substitute a cucumber dill salad for the sauerkraut. Everything was very hot and quite tasty. The portions were large and we did take some home for another two meals. Ania B. was personable, attentive and efficient. So, the only issue, was that the service out of the kitchen was slower than we expected. We were in no hurry, today, but had we been, it might have been a problem. I'm sure that we'll be back - the Polish food was that good!Hi Allen, thank you so much for the very detailed and excellent review. We're happy that you were able to enjoy st. Patrick's Day weekend with us and that Ania served you well. We're thrilled to hear you would come back & definitely hope to see you again soon! Cheers!
