My husband wanted something different (but didn't want to go out) and since we hadn't tried this place (and he LOVES crablegs) I suggested The Juicy Crab. My opinion of the place wasn't helped by the names written all over the walls and doors. But I get the fact its supposed to be cool. Whatever. It was a busy Sunday evening evidenced by the fact there were numerous people waiting for tables. There were also a good many call-in orders lined up behind the counter. There were also a few in line to order ToGo.After giving my order I asked and was told it would take about 10 minutes. It took a few minutes longer but that wasn't a problem since they were obviously busy. Once I got home hubby and I sat down to eat. I'd ordered everything with garlic butter and mild but his order of crab legs had a definite spicy heat to them. My order of one pound of shrimp did not have any spicy heat, like, at all, so don't go telling me it was the garlic butter. What was the main reason for 3-stars? The price. Hubby and I have had lots of seafood. Lots. A good bit of that was fresh seafood. This from Juicy Crab, while tasty, is way too pricey. Yes, I appreciated the fact the shrimp had been deveined but shelling out $50 for 4 crab clusters, one that was missing two legs and another that had a nearly empty claw and skimpy meat in the legs is not something I'll do anytime soon.

This is like Old Chicago or Miller's Ale House. I came for a meetup group and had a Southern Chicken Club: Grilled or hand-battered & fried chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, and smoked bacon, topped with housemade ranch. Served on a toasted brioche bun. $9.59. The sandwich came out hot and the fried chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The sandwich was constructed well and the price was reasonable.

Hubby and I ate there last night. This was our third visit and we were not disappointed. We usually give new restaurants six months before visiting. No need to wait for this one! Food and wait staff have been consistently great. Menu has changed since our first visit. But still wonderful. We really like the concept of "casual, fine dining". Much needed in the area. Keep up the great work!

We ate here during a recent trip to Augusta. The restaurant is off the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel. It was late and we were the only diners in the place. Service was great, friendly and attentive, and thorough. The food not so great, but not bad, just not great. I had a steak special which arrived cut in pieces, not like I like my steak, they should have asked if I wanted it sliced but didnt. It was ok, not a great cut and kind of hard to tell quality wise because it was sliced. The potatoes which came with it were pretty tasteless, and frankly disappointing. The Caesar was quite good. My dining partners had crab cakes and a large dinner salad (plain). They enjoyed them very much, especially the crab cakes.We ate there because we were staying at the hotel. I would have gone somewhere else more favorably rated given half a chance. That said, I could recommend this place only if you were staying here and then perhaps only for a burger at best. The service was really the only redeeming part of the meal.

Our group goes here every week. I posted a review back in the spring about the even service which has never changed. However, it's convenient,the prices are reasonable and they have good local talent. Last night was very different. We brought the service up to the owner who said he would take care of it. Instead he just stood around the bar drinking. I spoke with him at one point and he said he probably shouldn't be drinking so much while working...I agreed. Later things got much much worse. He basically flipped out and shoved one of our group into another table! Our average age in this group is 60 and we weren't doing anything but voicing our dissatisfaction. He handled this all wrong and this is coming from a prior restaurant owner...ME! This man has no business being in charge of a restaurant...not the right disposition to handle criticism.
