First time I tried Bourdain, we did the balls. Was a good drinking food. A dozen balls went down well with a couple beersThe fried wings were great better than the sauces. The steak fingers were great with tater tots. Like country fried steak fingers with white dipping gravy. The waitress was a total doll. Very friendly.

Went for mother in laws birthday Friday night, had alittle wait even with many empty tables. Sat down ordered drinks, drinks came out wrong. Reordered and appertizer, waited forver for drinks. We were finished with the appertizer when we finally got drinks. They tasted like club soda with no alchohol at all. Still don't have any silverware was told "it's washing" Got our food minus the sauce we ordered asked waitress she took her time and finally brought it after we were half done with our meal. Really bad dinner, left an e mail on the website to talk about these issues and never heard a word back so it just shows they could care less about customer service. Never again!!!!!!!!

Neches Brewing is a smaller brewing operation and the only one within an hour or so of its location. I visited here one Sunday when I was touring the southwest Louisiana in support of my beer blog, Great Beer Now, and I left feeling satisfied.Neches Brewing is located on the main road of Port Neches and if the establishment didn’t already have ‘brewing’ in its name, I would never have guessed that there was a brewery inside the doors. In fact, even when you step inside it is still not apparent that Neches Brewing is a craft brewing operation and the reason is because you cannot see the brewing equipment/brewhouse. It is located in the back, out of customers’ view. The inside of Neches Brewing is similar to that of a sports bar and they serve not only their own house beers, but also competitors beers. There are about nine or ten house- brewed beers on tap and a handful of others. With such good variety, you should be able to find something you like and while you may be tempted to go with the guest beers and stick with what is already familiar, I recommend at least trying some of the beers that are brewed on site, as they are all quite delicious. Neches Brewing has several noteworthy beers of its own. I learned that the Honey Blonde beer they brew is their top seller, but personally, I liked the Big Floyd Imperial Stout the best. It’s a big, hearty, alcoholic beer with loads of character. If you like dark beers, you should enjoy it as well. There is food served at Neches Brewing also. They have a popular brunch menu and they serve burgers, appetizers, and other options. When I was here, I decided to get the honey blonde butter chicken biscuit. It was flaky and crumbly- so much so, that I had to eat it with a fork. But I still liked this food item and, as you probably guessed, it did go very well with a glass of the honey blonde beer. Larger breweries often win customers over with their state of the art design, spaciousness, and endless activities. Neches Brewing is simpler and while it is far from being a household name, it does have much to offer craft beer fans and a visit is imperative if you find yourself in the Southeast Texas region.
