Founded on August 17, 1988, the Taproom was the birth place of the North Coast Brewing Co. It started as a little roadhouse where you could taste some great beer and have a nice meal. Thirty years later that still holds true, but the brewery has moved acr
We enjoyed our dinner of Pulled pork sandwiches, huge serving of fries that went to waste, They had a very limited wine list, understandable since it is a brewing company. My husband enjoyed the local beer very much. We requested a different table but were denied. We were told they have to spread out the customers to accommodate the servers. I think the customer should be their priority. Overall, good food, decent service.Ellie, I'm glad you enjoyed the food and hope you understand about the wine. I apologize for the seating issue. It is tough to manage both customer and staff needs but you are right - if the customer does not win the chance for return is unlikely. Hope you will give us another chance and hope your husband will find our beer where you live.

The Golden West has received a face-lift and new life under new ownership. It is now a welcoming and social place, with lots of fun and conversation, pool balls clicking, and superb bar service. A wonderful addition to downtown Fort Bragg.

I've been here a couple times with friends, and come back for lunch. They make a variety of excellent beer, suiting a variety of palates. The Cheesy fries are excellent, but I like their blue cheese 'overtime burger'. Only knock is it's a small venue and when full things are a little slow because the folks there are very busy.Thank you so much for coming in! We do get a bit busy, thank you so much for being so patient during our rushes. We look forward to seeing you again!
Who stops at a bar at 2 pm on a weekday afternoon? We did -- to watch the World Cup on TV. The Tip Top Lounge was our venue. The beer was excellent and cold and the service -- considering we may have been one of the few non-locals ever to grace the establishment -- was friendly. There was some interest in soccer, which was broadcast on two of the TVs (NASCAR on the others), but much of the commentary was drowned out by some selection of dreadful music on the jukebox that the proprietress was not eager to discourage. There isn't much to do at the tip top but drink, play pool and watch TV amidst dim lighting. Most of the clients seemed regulars who had spent a good deal of time at the Tip Top. So, if you like unpretentious bars with good beer, this is the place. For fine dining not.
