Seafood and Irish coffee - a win win.Wait staff was very good. We went there twice in 2 weeks. The lobster was so good. The location, by the water, was a plus.

Came here for dinner one evening and were seated quickly. The young waitress was a friendly blond lady who patiently answered our questions about their menu and whiskey in the area. She provided attentive service without hovering. She spared a few minutes to chat with us through the meal, and made us feel welcomed. She told us about the spring well that is inside the restaurant and took us to it to see. The food was quite good. Very well seasoned, prepared, and presented. Service was prompt but not rushed. The atmosphere seemed close, friendly, and very laid-back. People were having discussions, but the noise level was not deafening; you could HAVE a conversation. It felt comfortable, almost like the place belonged to someone we knew personally. This was one of my favorite restaurants on the entire 2-week trip.

I ordered Irish stew and a Guinness. Could not have been more delighted with both.Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating.Don't agree with small children running around. A pub is a pub for adults. Families can go to more appropriate places.Otherwise, worth the visit.
Ate here in late July because the advert outside the pub said they had received an award for good food. Well, I ordered the "homemade vegetable soup" which clearly was made from a packet, floury and with hardly any veg in it! Wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. Husband had a burger which was average. Shame.
