If you follow Kane road, turn right at McDonalds and go about five miles past where the road turns to gravel. If you get to the 10% grade sign you have gone too far. Turn around there and watch closely and you will see it on your way back, There is a small pullout just before the rock. It is only about 15 minutes from Moab and well worth visiting.

I made this drive when going to the Corona Arch trail and loved all the pull offs and great signage. You can easily visit numerous petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks — and get very close to them. You will also find stunning views of the river and rock formations along the drive. Also, there are numerous campgrounds and bathroom facilities. It’s close to Moab and definitely worth driving to.
