We have just returned from a meal at this lovely, local restaurant. The food was beautiful, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was just perfect. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Little touches made the service and the feeling very personal.

Delicious food. Stylish surroundings. Something for everyone. Because we know that the right surroundings can be just as important as the food, our cosy, contemporary restaurants set the scene for every occasion.
Visited on a busy Friday night, a little noisy but not the restaurants fault. Service was good. Food was very tasty with excellent gluten free choices. We also felt like it was good value for money. Will definitely be returning!
Where to eat Bar food in Thornbury: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Firstly, I am not reviewing the standard pizza offerings, which from memory were delicious. This review concentrates on the gluten free pizza bases which are, in my opinion, just about edible. Neither does this review reflect the branch from where I have purchased as I'm sure this GF option is available nationwide.I have tried gluten free pizza here at Thornbury a few times and from memories of what a normal Domino's tasted like before I was diagnosed with celiac disease (Intolerance to gluten) there is no taste comparison to their normal pizzas at all with this option. Unlike normal pizza bases that are prepared fresh here, the gluten free ones are bought in and arrive in plastic bags, a costings necessity I guess, but it definitely takes the shine off the experience. â¨â¨The staff have aways been very friendly in the Thornbury branch and appear well trained in allergies which is good, plus the branch has always looked clean and tidy. The gluten free bases are topped in a cleaned and gluten / wheat free area at this branch, I have watched them do it and have asked questions about the process so feel reasonably sure there should be no cross contamination.â¨â¨As for the taste, well it's nothing special really, nice cheeses but the base stays quite white, bland, soft and doughy. I have actually tasted better from supermarkets.â¨â¨I have a theory that because the GF basses pass under the oven at the same speed as the non GF and because of the different consistences between the two bases, the GF base is not cooked long enough but I'm no food scientist and will leave this to the so called experts.â¨â¨And as the price is comparable with the normal pizzas I do feel a little short changed especially as there are no size options either. So If others order a pizza I am forced to have the gluten free option which always makes me feel like I'm missing out.â¨â¨Come on Domino's, us gluten free folk are on the rise and you are probably losing custom in every branch because of this poor product. Why not do a little more research and taste testing into gluten free bases, Hell, I'll even come to your head office kitchen and do it for you myself !!

Had lunch with my wife and 2 friends on my first visit yesterday. The ambiance is great, the food outstanding and we enjoyed really good service. Quality ingredients and ample quantities in our starters, main courses and desserts were served to all 4 of us. We most definitely will return and highly recommend this lovely riverside restaurant. A particular thank you to Jessica in serving us.Thank you for your great review, high rating and recommending us. We are very proud of our team and appreciate your compliments to our lovely Jessica. Looking forward to welcoming you again soon!

Family-run Italian/Sardinian restaurant where everydish is homemade each day with passion. Freshly homemade pastas, slow-cooked meats,72 hours pizza dough, homemade desserts good wines and amazing staff at Zanky's!
As frequent visitors to Sardinia we were thrilled to find a Sardinian restaurant so close to home. We ordered several antipasti alongside main courses, wine, coffee and sides- all were delicious! But these portion sizes were small, the restaurant space is minuscule (there was a large table behind us which was loud - no fault of the restaurant but it was offputting) and it was so hot we couldnât enjoy the meal. The wine cost on the bill differed to the cost on the menu, although we didnât question this at the time, and the 15% surcharge was outrageous for a party of 4. Sadly we wonât be returning but wish this wasnât the case because the food was great.
