Top 5 Pizza food in Sparks, Nevada, United States

October 10, 2019 Fernanda Pittenger

Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Sparks. Along the Truckee River in the tranquil Truckee Meadow is fast-growing Sparks, Nevada, Reno's less flamboyant neighbor to the east. Although home to only one high rise casino, Sparks offers visitors other pleasures with live festivals and events in open air venues, a lively farmers' market, a multiplex theater and less pricey accommodations than its high-rolling neighbor. Its proximity to both Reno's casinos and Lake Tahoe makes Sparks a perfect destination for a Northern Nevada Vacation.

My family loved Grimaldi’s Pizzeria! The vibe of the restaurant is excellent with authentic New York style Pizza. Our food server couldn’t have been nicer and made several suggestions in keeping with our diet. We can’t wait to go back next time we are in the area.

Blind Onion Pizza and Pub

Met a group of people there and many had never had the pleasure of eating Blind Onion Pizza. Everybody I talked to, and myself included, thought it was great. I had never seen people put honey on pizza crust before, but several did after the saucy part was eaten. Great crust and large bottles of honey are on every table. Must be a tradition!

Blind Onion Pizza and Pub

We had a large group of about 25 volleyball girls and parents eating pizza at Blind Onion Pizza on Los Altos Blvd, Sparks. First, they were able to easily handle the large group. Second, the waiter was so organized in keeping separate tabs which is so helpful. But most important, the pizza was really great. The crust is fresh, the edge was thick, the Margarita Pizza yummy. The salad is fresh lettuce, the price reasonable. They also have Honey on the table for the crust.

True NY Pizza

True NY is in our take-out food rotation. Always a solid pizza pie and there's plenty for two people. Ham and mushroom is our favorite. Their salads and antipasto are good too. Perhaps a little on the spendy side but the quality is worth it. Expect to wait during peak times. Normally 20-30 minutes but we've had as long as an hour.

Casale's Half Way Club

My wife and I really enjoyed Casale's when we were here about a year ago. We often said we need to go back. Today, Saturday, we were able to make reservations on short notice for 5:30pm.We arrived a few minutes early and were immediately greeted and told it would be just a couple of minutes. The interior remains the same small and cozy space and was full of people enjoying their meals. The aroma when you walk in is wonderful. They have a full bar along with wine and bottled beer options. The jukebox was playing old favorites from Frank Sinatra and others at a perfect volume allowing you to enjoy the music while still easily conversing. We were promptly seated in one of the booths and provided menus. We ordered drinks and began our struggle to decide what to order. We started with the Kellames special (garlic bread with mama's signature red sauce for dipping). My wife ordered the ricotta cheese ravioli with meat balls. I ordered the beef ravoli and spaghetti (1/2 and1/2), both entrees come with a choice of minestrone soup or salad. Our soup and appetizer arrived and looked delicious - we both enjoyed everything. Our entrees arrived and also looked great - we were only able to eat about half and decided to take the rest home for leftovers. Their red sauce is really really good.We plan to come back when we have family in town - remember to call ahead for a reservation and also, they are cash only.
