We truly enjoyed our dinner at Fresh Wood Fired Pizza. We sat on the porch area with our dog. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. The gluten free crust was unbelievably good â they make their crust in-house. Family friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.

Our family of all ages sat outside this evening and enjoyed everything from various stuffed pastas to excellent homemade pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine (although the beer selection was very nice). But the best part? Their outdoor dining area where we drug our feet after eating because the experience was so nice. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I enjoyed fresh-from-the-oven pizza from this tiny joint last night. The atmosphere is quirky, and a little dingy, but it is fun to watch as the owner makes your pizza right in front of you. The pizza itself was delicious, and the staff was friendly. I'd recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a no-fuss indy pizza experience.

We went here last week and really enjoyed our subs. I was drawn to the meatball and boy, I was NOT disappointed. Iâm not even a big fan of meatball subs because they usually get too soggy. The bread was perfect though - strong enough to handle the meatballs but soft enough to eat. Iâll definitely be back for the pizza and a few sides (like the funnel cake fries). Iâd also like to try the dessert pizzas. My side was house made chippers, but I found them to be too greasy. It was quite busy at the time so this could have been a one-off thing. Would definitely try them again. Solid dinner spot.

Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. The place was packed. We were seated right away and greeted by very friendly waitstaff. We all decided on getting something different. The big hit was the meatball sub. The other entree meals... not so much. I got the Chicken Piccata. We all got side salads. The salads came quickly. The dressings were very good but the salads were very unevenly divided. One plate was full of greens topped by a few veggies...tomatoes and an onion slice with a large handful of mozzarella. The other two were plates with just a sprinkling of greens and tomato and onion slice with mozzarella. I do not like to see such uneven servings. I saw the same thing happening at other tables. (We were seated by the kitchen exit and saw the food go by.) I ordered Chicken Piccata. What I received was a palm sized ( pounded 1/2â thick) piece of very tough over cooked chicken with a bland sauce. The lemon was hardly noticeable. The pasta was cooked perfectly...but I could barely taste the sauce on it due to lack of flavor. My friend got the Eggplant Parmesan . She said the eggplant was tender but the sauce was overly sweet and lacked flavor. My husband got the Spaghetti with Meatballs. He also remarked that everything tasted generic and bland. At first the waitress brought out one tiny loaf of bread...smaller than a hoagie roll... for our table of four. There were only two pats of butter. When we asked, she brought more. The bread is outstanding. We were hungry because the kitchen was obviously overworked that Sunday and it took almost an hour for the entrees to arrive. Therefore we ate and left. None of the four in our party plan to go back as there are other options in town that we consider a better value for the experience.
