Estavayer-le-Lac [estavaje l(ə) lak] (Arpitan: Thavalyi-le-Lé (help·info)) is a former municipality of the canton of Fribourg, situated on the south shore of Lake Neuchâtel. Estavayer-le-Lac is located between Yverdon and Bern. It is the capital of the district of Broye. The municipality of Font merged on 1 January 2012 into the municipality of Estavayer-le-Lac. On 1 January 2017 Bussy, Morens, Murist, Rueyres-les-Prés, Vernay and Vuissens merged into the new municipality of Estavayer.

The food is at best average, I would probably rate it around 2 over 5. Pizzas are quite weak and in particular the ingredients used do not taste very good (maybe a freshness issue?).The service is really terrible. If I could I would rate it negatively... We have waited more than 1h30 for just two pizzas... Several people that have arrived after us have received their food way before us (they seemed to know the place... so I guess it is better to be a loyal customer if you want to be treated correctly). In addition to that, the waitress was extremely rude (after 1 hour I inquired about when we would got our pizzas and she shouted at me something like "you just have to wait, there is no reason you get your food before the other customers") and disrespectful (not even saying thanks and goodbye when we were leaving the place after having paid).In short, do not go there, there are much better options in Estavayer (like la "Gerbe d'Or" or "Le Carmen", both are at a walking distance from this place).

Le cadre de la plage est vraiment magnifique et en cas de mauvais temps, l'intérieur a complètement été réaménagé et c'est très réussi! La carte estivale est vraiment bonne, bref une bonne adresse à recommander.

There were not many restaurants open late in the evening of a weekday. But the pizzeria was opened and almost full. The decoration and general atmosphere is pretty simple, without pretention. But the wall of italian movie stars is nice. The list of pizza offered is great, with half being the classics, and the other half being 10-15 original combinations. The pizza was excellent and quite big (especially with a lot of rucola on top in the one I choose). I was quite full! The service was friendly and good. Definitely a place I would return on my next visit to Payerne.Thank you see you soon ;o)

A very nice pizza at the LA GRAPPE D'OR. We were greeted with a warm welcome on a rainy night. My husband and I both had a pizza, they were both cooked beautifully at a cost of 17chf each, great value for money. We had a carat of red house wine 9.30 chef which I would recommend. The waiter was really nice and the restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere.
