Friends and I returned recently and we are so glad we did. The wonderful lady that helped last time, Hilda was there again - friendly as ever and super efficient. She has such a good sense of humour and the patience of a saint! I Try the Fokof Lager (local craft beer) - it's cold, on tap and delicious. I had a pizza - what is really great here is that the bases are super thin and crispy and I can order a garlic and herb base and add my toppings making it vegan! My one friend had a pizza and the other a burger - all were super delicious and not a crumb left on our plates. Our bill with drinks R443.00 - The pimped up burger is R135 (so, the most expensive burger) and it is huge! Pizza's are around R100 to R120. There is a nice, relaxed, comfortable vibe. Will definitely be back!

Ecology Lifestyle Farm has an interesting combined offering of a relaxed garden restaurant serving South African favourites prepared with fresh farm ingredients, wine tasting, a farm stall,as well as an indigenous Protea and fynbos nursery.
On a tip off from a friend we took a slow drive to have coffee and a delicious pancake each at Ecology Lifestyle restaurant near Bot river on the R43.It was everything our friends had said. Friendly, interesting and peaceful. Although early on a Sunday morning we were pleased with our morning break and will make sure we visit again and spend more time enjoying the interesting menu. The wine tasting is to be first for our next visit..Thank you for the great review, CatherineGS. I am glad that you enjoyed your steaming coffee and delicious pancake amid tranquil surroundings. We appreciate the time taken to write this review, and look forward to welcoming you back for the wine tasting!

So hereâs an honest take on what we felt was a disappointing experience. The Rivendell wines are amazing but for the food and the professionalism of the chef and the staff highly lacking. We ordered a pizza and the signature smoked salmon pasta for mains. Pizza: Make your own pizza arrived without 2 of the 4 ingredients I ordered and inedible avo.. Was asked if I can deal by waitress.. Which they removed off the bill. Bravo. Donât serve it in the first place some future advice. No offer to remake it. Felt I didnât have choice. Pub Quality at best. Pasta: Cheap smoked salmon off-cuts and lack of cream on pasta that I could swear is cheap store bought pasta. Underwhelming. Note: We were the 2nd table to be asked for a review on TripAdvisor by the chef/owner and I think this should be left for the patron to decide.. All in all. Maybe focus on the food a bit more than the singing.. Hie Pieter, Thank you for your honest review. The penne is Granoro Durum pasta from Italy (we have used this quality for ever) I refuse to buy/use Fattys & monies, or any pasta labled as "Italian style"The Salmon is of the highest quality, I assure you. It is unacceptable that you got only 2 of the 4 ingredients on your pizza. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this; our pizzas are regarded as exceptional - so this is really sad for me to read. I will pay attention to this aspect of our service. Pity you didn't call me over to have a chat. Every restaurant owner strives to get their establishment up there with the best.
Nieuwedrift Wine Estate is situated 9 km south of Piketberg along the N7 highway, and approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from Cape Town along the popular Namaqualand/Namibian tourist route. Come and visit our Family Restaurant and enjoy a wood fir
We discovered this restaurant a few kilometers south of Piketberg yesterday while hunting for good food place. The restaurant is on the banks of the Bergrivier, a major river that flows past the Piketberg mountains. There are not many good food places in the Piketberg region. This is an excellent piza restaurant with owners that meet you at the door to welcome you.We were served by Karin a lovely young mother who did her job with a passion, to make sure we are looked after. Not once did we wait, she was always within distance to serve us with such friendliness. The pizzas were fantastic, with unique names and a very arty and healthy ingredients like fresh rocket leaves, etc. Magnifique, like the French will say with Nieuwedrift's own Champagne, served by the owner herself. We'll be back, thank you Johan Moster, the farm owner and wine maker for making us laught so much and giving us an 5 minute education on the difference between poor and excellent wine glasses.
Best Burger I ever ate in my life. Very friendly service. Nice place to spend time after a Paragliding fly
