Wellsboro is a borough in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, United States, 52 miles (84 km) northwest of Williamsport. Early in the 20th century, Wellsboro was the shipping point and trade center for a large area. It had fruit evaporators, flour and woolen mills, a milk-condensing plant, marble works, saw mills, foundry and machine shops, and manufactories of cut glass, chemicals, rugs, bolts, cigars, carriages, and furniture. In 1900, 2,945 people lived here; in 1910, 3,183 lived here. The population was 3,328 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Tioga County, and also home to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.

Had a beautiful walk along pine creek in pa Grand Canyon on the rail trail he trail runs along pine creek through the canyon to jersey shore if you decide to go the entire length the trail is scheduled to be extended into wellsboro

Tyoga is located on Pine Creek Road, only two miles from the center of Historic Wellsboro. Stayed for a weekend primarily for the golf package deal they have with Penns Well Hotel. Greens and tee boxes are well maintained and it's a challenging course for all levels. The biggest distraction is the scenery, but it is also amazing! We had a 12p tee time on a Saturday and didn't feel rushed one bit as it was not crowded. Towards the last couple of holes, we did run into a delay. But with a cold beer and the views, it wasn't a bad deal at all. One downside, which isn't a big deal, is if you prefer a cigar while golfing, bring your own. They don't have these available. In regards to the bar and food, good selection of beers, food is delicious and the staff are very friendly.

Our base on Route 6 is at the entrance to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. We have convenient on-site access to Pine Creek and are only 1 mile from the bike trail and nearby hiking trails. We provide free parking, toilet facilities, heated changing rooms, beverages, snacks, t-shirts, river gear, camping supplies, water, trash disposal & recycling. We are THE place for everything outdoors!

Tioga Trail Rides is a wonderful way to experience the mountains of northern Pennsylvania. It is so much fun and the guide is super-knowledgeable. He has been doing this for over thirty years so this isn't his first rodeo and very personable. The views are awesome and the ride through the woods was magical. There were deer so close to the horses which I never had experienced before. Definitely worth checking out!! They are amazing people with amazing animals. We did the two hour ride and would definitely do it again if we are back in the area.
