The food was very good. Difficulty menu to understand especially allergy. asked but they could not answer for sure that there wasmilk in the soup, so had to choose something else. reason that I have too give this not that good rating is because we eat breakfast here that we got through are hotel, and it was bad, small selection , only orange jucie which were watered out. And it was very expensive.

I dont know where to start cause everything fitted very well in Festiviteten! From the interior, to the service, the clean restrooms, and dont get me started with the food, I LOVE IT! As a traveller, I make sure I eat at the best place/s in town. 51 cities and "I-dont-know-how-many-restaurants" after, I can definitely say Festiviteten is the best one I had, and that is no joke. Dont let the "fancy" exterior of the place scare you, cause you get the excellent quality of food for a moderate price. This restaurant is highly-recommended!

I used to like this place, the coffee and the atmosphere. Last visit put an end to that. I chose to go here because the website says they can provide gluten free and vegetarian food upon request. The only thing they could offer me was a Caesar salad without croutons, eggs and feta. So basically green leafs. The server was grumpy and not pleasant. We asked what cake she would recommend. She recommended the almond torte. Which turned out to be a slice of store-bought cake served with spray on whipped cream and ice cream topped with "Marie" kjeks one of the cheapest bisquits you can buy in store. They served the cake without the black coffee that was ordered with it. When I asked nicely where it was because the ice cream was melting the server yelled at me that there was a lot of people ahead of me in line. We ordered a "luxury" Oreo shake which was absolutely disgusting. To save money they had blended "Marie" biscuits into the mix. It was to horrible to finish. On top of that they didn't write down what we ordered so when we wanted to pay we had to remember how everything looked like, very unprofessional.Stay away!

I have been visiting this place for the past 10 years and been there hundreds of times. Their seafood on Wednesdays is a treat. Some typical old school Norwegian dishes that seems to have disappeared from the Norwegian menu is available here. Every Thursday throughout the summer months they have a motorcycle meet. This is a 70s style cafe where they serve plain iced or a strawberry flavoured juice mixed in house. They serve good old home cooked meals. The place is far away from town but is always crowded and people.
