Ruth was the angel of succulents before we even appreciated them. What was considered ugly and twisted in nature encouraged her to plant, replant and develop a culture of beauty and harmony. This elegant unban garden demonstrates how we can use environmental nerdy to beautify urban landscapes. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their garden and growth of succulents

We went to Diablo Hills Regional Park. As one drives out there, one passes several equestrian ranch places, which is fun to see the horses. The park itself has sports fields, hiking trails, picnic areas and more.

Civic Park

This is a really nice little park where there are areas where you can take a picnic, bring your dog and have a nice peaceful walk. It also has a pathway to the Iron Horse Trail. There are many restaurants in Downtown Walnut Creek where you can get takeout and bring it to the park and enjoy - all in walking distance.
