Carl Schurz Park

What a wonderful park. A great place to watch boats go by on the water, walk around wonderfully maintained gardens or catch a concert during the summer. A very decent sized park that is a great escape from the city although it's just steps away from the major streets. Truly worth checking out!

Conservatory Water

We went to conservatory waters because my 8 and 5 year old boys had read about them in one of our guides. The boats are rented by Sail the Park. We visited on a Wednesday in the summer, close to when it opened and there was no wait for a boat. The boats were $11 for 30 mins. It was plenty of time to enjoy the boats, although our kids loved it so much, we did it twice in one day. Both kids (8 & 5) were able to sail the boats with the remotes (there is no motor - you can just control the sail). There is a convenient bathroom and a small snack area right by conservatory waters as well as as ice cream bar.
