A drive out today to the south of this fantastic island . We took in Gran Tarajal and loved it. Set in a bay with a huge beach, sheltered by cliffs to the north and harbour walls to the south, this beautiful small town was a delight, a real hidden gem which we could easily have passed by. Do not make that mistake. Shops, bars and restaurants in the town centre with play areas, a football stadium , entertainment complex and more. The whole place is beautifully maintained and presented from the immaculate beach to the walls with giant murals all around. Popped in for a quick stop, stayed most of the day. Do yourself a favour, visit Gran Tarajal.

Very pretty place as yet not over developed. Black sandy beach used by locals. Smart hotel + apartments. Good restaurants & shops. Excellent free parking. Spectacular scenery easily enjoyed from walking along the new promenade.
