When we arrived we were confused. The gent at the crab pot said this wasn't a restaurant (we thought the building a little bit away was). There's a board that states the prices of crabs, oysters, etc. If you want to eat there, they will provide paper plates, napkins, utensils, and hot sauce. You may buy melted butter, cocktail sauce, lemons, drinks, etc. at the store. You also pay for your seafood there. The person at the crab pots puts your name on a white board with the time your order will be ready. There are only outdoor picnic tables. It was a beautiful day so we were able to eat outdoors while watching people crabbing on the piers, and the birds fishing. The cats are really friendly. When our order was ready, our name was called and everything was served in a large stainless steel pan (like the ones caters use to keep food warm). It was great! We ordered 2 dungeness crabs, and dozen oysters (they steam them, don't serve them raw). They were the sweetest crabs I've had in a while. The oysters were perfect. We ended up ordering another dozen after we finish the first order. They will rent you crabbing gear, and give you instructions on what to do. They also rent boats. I think they have a campground too. There were only 2 people working. Both were friendly, and helpful. I'll go back the next time I'm up that way.

Cute little town with nice beach. Great rock formations and fun to watch waves go though the one with the hole in the middle. Beach nice and sandy. Parking lot small but we found a place. Cute town to spend day at as well as beach.

I have four kids, 11 to 3, and this hike was a nice quick outing in Rockaway. There is boardwalk in great shape all the way to the tree. The boardwalk is a bit slippery in places. There is a short return trail in the mud, but be sure to wear your boots! Tennis shoes will get get soaked. And the tree was amazing!!

We visited this place based on other reviews and full-heartedly agree that this is one of the local gems. The perfectly fresh sea food is picked from and cooked in sea water right in front of you! The lingering taste of the best oysters we’ve ever had, combined with the smell of sea, and burning wood stayed with us through the evening. Worth a visit!
