This large (150 acre) private garden is truly amazing. Lots of landscaping and engineering was needed to develop this garden which is still being added to 30 years later. If you love cold climate Old World flowering plants and trees, this is your garden. Take your warm clothing though. I also think it could stand an Alpine Australia garden, since it is currently 100% exotic as far as I saw

After leaving Mayfield Garden (see separate review) we took our picnic things to Oberon Common. What an excellent and free facility!!! Lovely park, beautiful waterway and rotundas where you can sit and enjoy some food. It was a very cold but sunny day. We were al rugged up and had a wonderful time.

Quiet area with a lot of free parking. The dam looks impressive and it is highly recommended that you walk to the top of it to see Lake Oberon views.
