Learn about the story of deer in New Zealand whilst looking at the finest collection of deer antlers in New Zealand, including some rare species and record holders. The World of Deer Museum is a multi faceted centre with lots to see and learn as we celebrate the wonderful and very important animal that is the Deer. The basis of the museum is the collection of wonderful antlers grown by stud animals at the famous " Stanfield Red Deer Stud" that includes previous world record antler for number of points (60), SCI and CIC scores and weight. Our point of difference is our worldwide theme, plus the educational focus - the New Zealand story from liberation of deer from around the world to the evolution of the deer farming industry, to understanding the products from deer and the benefits of natural remedies.

What a fantastic experience, the owner did an exceptional personable friendly and informative tour of the history of the deer, deer farming and hunting. A spectacular display of antlers from around the world including world winners.

An amazing collection of collectables of yesterday year and everything is so well displayed in a large number of sheds. Something for all ages and both adults and children. We spent over 4 hours and so much fun seeing items which we remember from years gone by in NZ.

Our world-class visitor attraction showcases a collection of Warbirds aircraft, over 30 world class and privately owned classic cars, Wanaka wearable arts and tales of a local legend Sir Tim Wallis. This attraction also contains a 1950's retro diner with a wide range of delicious snacks baked on site daily, diner-style meals and refreshments, and retail shop with loads of exciting car and aircraft memorabilia. Open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, Closed weekends. Located at the Wanaka airport, 9km from the township.

So shiny and clean, the hanger was filled with beautiful cars, motorbikes and fighter jets. Some cars we had never seen anything like them before. Beautifully presented with good explanations.
