The Johnson County Historical Society offers tours of the 1876 Coralville Schoolhouse. Visitors get to experience the life of a Johnson County student during the 1870s by trying their hand at penmanship, playing old-fashioned games, and ringing the school bell.

My dad and I brought my 4 year old son to this and he loved it. He was able to play with a lot of different things, learn about different aspects in the world (grocery store, doctors visits, flight, etc) and burn a lot of energy running from exhibit to exhibit. Very good place to bring younger children and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
