The Angelika Film Center & Cafe in Plano is a stylish five-screen boutique cinema located The Shops at Legacy. The cafe and bar located on the second floor is open to the public and offers a selection of light gourmet fare as well as an array of fine wine, beer and cocktails. Guests are able to enjoy all food and beverages inside the cinema auditoriums while watching a film. The Angelika Plano is also an ideal venue for corporate presentations, group conferences and private rentals.
Love the Angelika. They show a lot of independent and lesser known art films but also some mainstream movies. The thing that impresses me most is the audience is respectful of the movie going experience much more so than in the larger chain cinemas. Really like the occasional British National Theatre productions of filmed stage plays. If you like cinema as an art form, the Angelika is the place to be!

Upon entering the parking lot, the theater looked huge. I wish the parking was closer tho. Both exterior and interior were clean and inviting. The concession stand was able to serve several patrons at once. Prices were a bit high. The theatre where we sat to watch the ballet was spacious and comfortable as were the seats. I will definitely attend this location again.

This is review is specifically about The Void VR Experience at the Cinemark in West Plano. Being a fan of the movie Ready Player One, I was very curious to try this experience and I was not disappointed. First thing is you suit up just like to book and movie and enter VR. The equipment is very wearable, might be big for small children but for teens and all size adults is no problem. It’s fun for everyone. A little pricey, but fun. We chose the Star Wars VR experience and it was awesome. I’m not going to give away any story points as to not spoil anything, but let’s just say when you touch things in the game, you really touch things, you hold a real laser cannon and when you get shot, you feel it. The atmosphere, your surroundings, you feel everything. I am claustrophobic and do experience motion sickness in cars and had no problem with the VR. Once you get over the fear of the unknown it’s a ton of fun! And a side note about the theater, they’ve really upgraded the seats and auditoriums, it’s very nice.
