Situated across the road from Methil Library sitting in the memorial Park lies this fine granite memorial in the form of a square plinth with a sculpture of a Black Watch soldier standing with bowed head . The memorial was unveiled on the 25th November 1922. Sculptor was Thomas Good and the architect G Charles Campbell. It sits in a flagged area with pillars and chains surrounding it . There is a well maintained small park with views to Edinburgh across the Forth .There is plenty of seating for taking a moment for quiet reflection

Standing on the corner of Durie Street and Victoria Street in a small garden with plenty of seats the memorial wall and the plinth in front offer a host of names from the area for the First World War and the Second .The area is tidy and well maintained .The boundary wall memorial was added in 1950.It is a category C listed monument
