This restaurant has a pleasant ambience, and the menu seems typical of Turkish restaurants. It seems to have good reviews, so I was hopeful when I came in. Unfortunately, the food did not match my expectations. Some examples of disappointing dishes include the friend zucchini pancakes. In Turkey and throughout the Eastern Mediterranean region these are small, light, crispy and clearly made from zucchini. Also they should be fully cooked, not raw or nearly raw in the middle. Here the dish was quite the opposite: just partially cooked and not really made from anything, just an anonymous batter. I could not find the zucchini. Another disappointing dish was lamb with okra. There was very little lamb in the dish, the sauce was more sour than anything else. This is a dish (of Turkish origin like most Greek dishes) that I have eaten a lot in Greece, and I was very disappointing. Another was dish that disappointed me was the fried calamari. Again, it was hard to find the calamari; it was mostly batter. What was good? The coban salad was delicious (chopped up tomatoes, cucumbers etc.), really nothing else. While nothing was really terrible except perhaps the zucchini cakes, nothing was really good.I should mention that I lived many years in Israel, and have spent a lot of time in Greece and have also visited Turkey a couple of times. I am not certain that an American would have the same reaction to the dishes that I had. People seem to really like the restaurant and the waitstaff were very pleasant and friendly. One final point should be mentioned. The food came out almost instantaneously. Is it all precooked, I wonder? I would expect a stew to be precooked but not any of the other dishes. Perhaps this explains the semi-raw zucchini dish.

We heard about this restaurant in the past from a student at Ohio State. The student ate at the original Columbus, OH location. We live in Buffalo, but visit Cleveland frequently. Brassica is now open in Cleveland.Excellent falafel.Great spicy carrot salad.Wonderful roasted eggplantBabaganosh was puréed. Tasty although we prefer it with some texture, was just OKThe highlight was FRESH baked whole wheat pita bread onsite!!!We enjoyed our visit very much. Wish them great success. There is another falafel restaurant in Cleveland in which in house baked pita is featured. More on that in the next review.
Brewery located inside the Van Aken Market Hall. Large tables, community centric, guests are encouraged to bring food in from one of the Market Hall vendors. We specialize in local craft beer, cider, mead, and cocktails.
Terrific beer selection, including many local craft options. Very friendly staff with good recommendations. Bring in food - we had Banter! Great casual spot including patio.

The newest Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Cuisine in town!
Having chosen this restaurant by default after checking in to the hotel after a long day of travel, we ended up having a surprisingly good meal. There was a good selection of draft beer and wine-by-the-glass from the bar, and the Mediterranean dishes were quite good for the most part. There were other things on the menu, but it's not necessarily a burger and sandwiches joint, so it might not be your cup of tea if you're looking for more basic fare.
