Delicious lunches and dinners served served in an elegant dining room overlooking the Cataraqui River. Chef Gurkhan is of Turkish descent and his French style recipes are heavily influenced by the cuisines of Italy, North Africa, and the Middle East. An e
Kingstonâs restaurant scene can be perplexing. Iâve had some of my worst service in this city whenever I visit my parents. Perhaps because this restaurant is less for tourists, they offer a better level of service. The restaurant is upscale, white table cloths and well-staffed. The clientele are , shall we say, mature. The food is solid. The only plate at the table that was a bit disappointing was my blackened chicken wrap, if only because it was soggy. I shouldâve ordered the gnocchi which looked great.Definitely get the fries which are sublime and if you want the wine list looked good too. 4.5 stars.Thank you!! (I think.....)

Looking for somewhere to eat in Kingston, we walked up Princes Street from the lakeshore. Opposite St Andrew's church we found Ali Baba Kebab restaurant. What drew our eye was the boards outside.First impressions always inform you. Inside the restaurant was well presented and, more to the point was quiet - no piped music! Upon taking our table we were presented with a bottle of chilled water and a glass each of sweet black tea.We ordered the Chicken Kebab and the Lamb Shank with Dill rice. There is the option of soup or salad as an accompaniment. One of us had the lentil soup and the other the salad. There was a steady turnover of clientele so it was not too busy, neither too quiet.Including a can of diet coke and the tip we had change out of Can$40, and were well fed. This was a great find and well worth the visit.

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday. It is a great location for the west end. The waitress was polite and there when wanted. I had tabbouleh salad, beef kabobs and my lunch date had kabobs and salad. It was quite tasty and fresh.

We were staying at hotel nearby and saw sign and reviews. Four of us came for dinner. Food was very fresh and tasty. The portions were huge. We all got âsmallâ size and could easily have split a plate between two. A little too much garlic for my taste but all in all very good and worth the trip.
