This little place is simply amazing! The service was very friendly and attentive! The food portions were very large and the price was very inexpensive! This restaurant had a great selection of food as well as many different types of beverages. The food tasted so good and was very authentic and fresh made tortillas! This place is a must try!

Was traveling north on the 101 highway, am starving for lack of having eaten before I hit the road, had to stop for gas, looking for an eatery in Soledad, CA, went through the shopping center parking lot and found Mariscos Puerto Nuevo. I had the Carnitas plate which is always a measure of the quality of food in a Mexican restaurant and it was delicious, with more pork roast than I really needed. It was obvious that it was popular with the local lunch time crowd, the place was clean and I was so happy I found it, hit the tummy spot. My only complaint, and it was my fault for not asking, is that they didn't have any salsa fresca with my plate which is fairly common for a Carnitas plate. But, that would not deter me from returning, great value!

So we just returned from having "La Fuente" restaurant shut the door and turn off the lights on us 30 minutes earlier than actual closing time which was 9p.m. I called El Camaron Mexican grill and asked if they were open. The waitress ran out of the restaurant and waved us down because it was kind of hidden. Long story short, The food was excellent. The service was spectacular. So much that we came back the next day with a party of 6. We had a Molcajete of mixed meat, chiken, shrimp and chorizo. It was out of this world. The Carne asada plate and Mojarra frita was also delicious! The owner was so sweet and friendly too! This is a must do place!!!!!
After hiking Pinnacles National Park, we drove into town to see what we could find. We stumbled across this small restaurant/ice cream shop and bought a raspado(shaved ice). It was delicious! And made of real fruit!? Wonderful. They also have bacon dogs and tortas(Mexican sandwiches) which looked good but we had already ate. We will definitely stop by again next time.

The girl who waited on us looked like she should have gone to bed earlier the night before, never said hello or thank you or anything...I love Taco Bell but the food here was marginal. The bean burrito was mostly flour tortilla with very little inside. The triple steak was very wet and did not look anything like the picture on the wall. Tasted okay though.
