This location is pretty convenient to get to from the Juan Santamaria Airport. With it taking close to 5 hours to get through customs, we were extremely hungry by the time we were leaving the airport. We found this delicious restaurant which was not a long drive from the airport rental car facility.This location does not have their own personal parking lot, therefore you have to look for street parking if you plan on driving to this location. We were fortunate to find plenty of street parking. Due to all of our personal belongings being in the car, I was a little paranoid about having the car parked on the street. There was a local neighborhood gentleman who assisted in finding and guiding the parrallel parking process. I tipped the gentleman before heading to the restaurant hoping he would watch my car, but also requested a tip after (I guess because all her stuff was still in the car). The area seemed fine and may have been worried for no reason.Although the food may not be authentic Costa Rican food, it was very delicious. It felt like the restuarant catered more towards foreigners then locals, but it seemed like there was a mix of both. We got an order of Fish Tacos and the Boss's Favorite - they both were very excellent and highly reccomended. The homemade hot sauce definitely provided a nice kick. The owner greeted us very warmly and told us his story on how he was inspired to open the restaurant, including sharing with us his recommendations. The food came out quick so it didn't take time a tremendous time away from our long drive ahead.I expect this will be on our agenda the next time we visit Costa Rica!

If you are visiting or passing by the town of Belen, don't hesitate to stop by this mexican restaurant and order huaraches or sincronizada. The owner, Mexican himself, takes care of almost everything (except the cooking), and makes you feel at home. The food is very good and is served quickly, and the price is very low. They also have "frescos naturales", which is basically juices of tropical fruits, and they are very good (my favorite is guanabana and my wife likes to order jamaica). I am a new resident to Belen and this mexican restaurant has become one of my favorites. They also have delivery.Este pequeño restaurante mexicano reune los requisitos basicos de un buen restaurante: excelente servicio, buena comida, precios comodos y ambiente sencillo pero agradable. Les recomiendo el huarache al pastor y el fresco de guanabana. Tienen entrega a domicilio.
3. El Burrito de Belen Taqueria
Fresh, American style Tex-mex food. Quick service, affordable prices. Fooseball, darts, beers and booze! A great place to grab a burrito, tacos, rice bowl, salad or nachos! Also serving Costa Rican style bocadillos and healthy (or not!) acai bowls!

What a wonderful restaurant! It is clean and the service is amazing. Their burritos are delicious....we had chicken and pork and both loved our meals! Lots of options to make it your own. Would be great for lunch or dinner. Family friendly. They have dart boards and TVs. I highly recommend stopping here! We will definitley be back!

We had a wonderful meal at La Fonda Azteca. We started off with Margueritas and chips and guacamole Delicious! Then entrees of Chix Mole and Fish. The restaurant was clean and the service was GREAT. It was so good we went back a second time!
