I want to give this restaurant high marks for the overall appearance, cleanliness and efficiency. We have been there twice, and both times I was very impressed with how smoothly everything runs. Their Mexican food is good, especially their tacos, their portions are large, and the presentation on the paper (or styrofoam?) plates is appetizing. I think the food (burritos and enchiladas) could be a little spicier, and they could cut back on the amount of sour cream, rice and beans that come with each meal, but that's just me. Maybe they could ask you how spicy you'd like it on a scale of 1-5 ??? I plan to go back again and try something different!

Dropped in for a late (1:00 PM) lunch with a friend. Apparently host never notified waiter of our arrival (seated at far corner table). Waiter finally noticed us, took our order, and we waited even longer to be served our Taco Salads. Waited again for check, never arrived. We eventually found an employee to take our payment. Saw our waiter having lunch as we departed.

SLOW fast food. This new Taco Time is still working out the kinks as it is very slow, especially the drive through. As a new choice in Prineville, they are always busy, but the food wasn't up to Taco Time standards (basic as they are) and I'll wait a couple more months to let them figure it all out.

I love this restaurant. The owners are delightful people and their food is always prepared fresh to order. My new favorite is their Camarones a La Diabla (devilish shrimp). The flavors are complex and the shrimp are cooked perfectly.Every dish I've had has been great ... and I eat way too much!I do wish they'd refill the chips; I haven't asked, so they probably do if you ask. Beer is always good and a good selection of Mexican brands. People like their margaritas and they have other cocktails as well.

The Pros: The place looked clean.Chips and salsa were good and they also included a small bowl of refried beans. The Cons:Slow service (placement of order and receiving food)$1 for additional chips (really?)I'd asked for tortilla soup ... they didn't have so had to go with a chicken enchilada that was very basic. Because they didn't have a menu item I wanted, they should have said I'm sorry and the extra tortilla chips are on the house.Ordered soft drinks and wasn't offered a free refill (really?)As you can see, the cons outweigh the pros. There are much better (and more authentic) places to get your Mexican Fix in Prineville.
