I've been coming here regularly, almost daily, for some time now. Their service and quality is consistently great! Don't be alarmed by the long lines during the morning rush hour, they move people through pretty quickly and I've never gotten the wrong order.

First let me say that our service was the best we've had at any restaurant in quite a while. Thanks Evany! (Hope I spelled that right!) She was amazing, very attentive and seemed genuinely happy when we were happy with the food. She made some awesome suggestions. This is how service should be done!We didn't know what to expect when we decided to go to Pep's for dinner. We are in the area a lot but had never stopped in for some reason. My husband had a plate with carne guisada and an enchilada. The carne guisada tasted amazing and we have tried a lot of carne guisada being from South Texas. I had a trio of corn tortilla tacos, one with beef, one with pulled pork, and one with chicken. The beef and pork were perfect, wouldn't change a thing! The only reason I didn't give this review 5 stars is because of that chicken taco. I love spicy food, I love chipotle, however this was so spicy you couldn't taste the flavor. I thnk half the adobo sauce that was in the taco would have been more than enough.I can't wait to sample more from this menu! Between the service and food I think this is the best restaurant in Portland!

Went for lunch with family. Chips and queso as an entree and a waffle, two orders of quesadillas and the daily special of chicken enchiladas, rice and beans cost 50 bucks. Chips were burnt. Charro beans were good but I was not impressed with the enchiladas...they were just blah. Our sever was wonderful but would not return for the food. Too many other better Mexican food choices around.
This is one of our top picks for authentic Mexican food. If you have been to Mexico or are from Mexico, you'll know what I'm talking about! The only thing keeping them at 4 stars is that the tortillas are not fresh and homemade. They are decent tortillas but not great. I do recommend this restaurant.
Find your nearby Taco Bell at 1043 US Highway 181 in Portland. We're serving all your favorite menu items, from classic burritos and tacos, to new favorites like the $5 Double Stacked Tacos Box, Crunchwrap Supreme, Fiesta Taco Salad, and Chalupa Supreme.
Taco Bell is, by far, my favorite fast food restaurant. The food is pretty much to same at every one you eat at. We ate at the one in Portland, Texas last Saturday and the food tasted good but their crew needs to work on rolling burritos. My son and husband ordered different kinds of burritos and all 4 exploded! I have had experience where 1 might have a blow out but never all of them in one meal. It was very easy to tell they were poorly rolled. Maybe some more training is needed. My husband eats here 2 or 3 times a week for lunch and said this has never happened to him before.
