I had the carne asada which was just delicious, waiter said it was his favorite too! Very flavorful and good portion. My wife had a chicken quesadilla which was good but a bit watery as the chicken needed more draining first. Overall a great meal! Iâd go back in a heartbeat.

Driving through Payson and hungry for Mexican food this Restaurant stood out for its southwestern style building in the downtown area. Large parking lot with easy access. The restaurant itself has an older feeling and could use some updating but it was clean, restrooms were clean and service was very friendly and offered food suggestions which we took. The chips were fresh, thin and crisp, the salsa was homemade good.I ordered the 3 enchilada plate that had 1 shredded Chicken, 1 shredded beef and 1 shredded pork enchilada each with there own unique sauce and cheese...truly amazing! My husband ordered the carne asada taco plate, they marinate the carne asada and grill it to perfection. Weâre both still thinking about our meals almost a week later. Wish we lived closer.

You can't beat this place for takeout when headed to or from the Rim. Their breakfast burritos are fantastic, but our favorites are the classic bean and cheese burro, and the chile relleno burro. The flour tortillas are fresh and placed on the comal before wrapping into the ingredients into the burro. Believe me, these burros are huge and can be shared if your're that generous...Their tacos are tasty, too. They have a great salsa selection, also. The place gets packed on Sunday mornings when people are headed back to Phoenix. Prices are very reasonable, too.

Food was decent. Good tortilla chips. Decent prices. Service was good. Busy restaurant. Not sure if it is busy all hours of the day. Did see a lot of large groups seated.
We were dropping off our daughter at Girl Scout camp near Payson and stopped in here for some lunch. My daughter got a 5 rolled taco platter with carne asada, cheese, and guacamole. It was quite good, at least the part I got to steal. Shared super nachos with my wife with carne asada on them. My daughterâs carne asada was better. If I was back in the area, I would go with the rolled tacos over the nachos. Big glass of ice cold horchata was tasty and not overly sweet. It is interesting to see how this is a chain while trying so hard to come across as a local hole in the wall taco shop.
