Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Zakynthos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit Laganas covers the southernmost part of Zakynthos. Its municipal seat was the town of Pantokratoras (pop. 925 in 2011). The municipal unit of Laganas has a land area of 74.104 km². Its largest towns are Mouzaki (pop. 1,702), Lithakia (pop. 1,307), Pantokratoras, Kalamaki (pop. 890), Laganas (pop. 729), and Keri (pop. 469). The central and eastern part of the municipal unit are flat, but there are hills up to 450 m elevation in the west. The Zakynthos International Airport lies in the eastern part of the municipal unit, near Kalamaki. The beach village Laganas, part of the community of Pantokratoras, is on the southeastern coast. A large part of Laganas is a national park, established for the protection of turtles.

We have visited Laganas 3 times now and each visit have eaten in Sizzlebang. The food has always been cooked to perfection and staff always friendly with excellent sense of humour. Gorgeous food, complimented by a gorgeous hostess. The family are a credit to the island. Highly recommended.

If I could give Bon Appetit more stars I would. I felt so impressed I arrived home today and needed to write a review to share my experience with others maybe looking for a traditional place to eat. Wonderful vegetarian food (I had the vegetarian moussaka..delicious!!) Excellent customer service, very warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant, if you are looking for a taste of fresh homemade greek food with a relaxed family feel. The perfect restaurant for quality food. We were on holiday for 2 weeks and ate here EVERY night, the menu was so varied- anything from Italian, Mexican and even genuine Greek cuisine. The food always blew us away, 100% would recommend this family friendly restaurant to anyone after cheap, amazing food. The staff were warm and welcoming and the owner Yanis is what made this restaurant special (Whilst waiting for your food ask him to do one of his card tricks). Cheers for the amazing service and food guys!
