On the plus side, you get a LOT of food for the money. But, it is not very good. The salsa was dreadful and the chips were stale. The refried beans were bland. My husband had the fajita chicken quesadilla, and he liked it. I tasted it, and it was just o.k. It had a lot of melted cheese, and the meat was good, but it had to "punch" (spice/flavor). The cheese dripped grease as he ate it.I had the (2) Shrimp Chalupas, which were interesting. It said it came with refried beans, and it did, just not like I expected. I expected shrimp on the chalupa and refreid beans on the side. Each chalupa had a layer of refried beans, then shrimp, then chopped lettuce, then Pico de Gallo. It was o.k., and not greasy, but not great. I would give it a pass and just eat at the Taco Bell.
Breakfast or lunch served in an ol' house by the highway. Decorated with decades of collections flavors the conversations of the owner, Gloria with every customer. She makes everyone feel like family. Food is great, tasty and served with a smile. Coffee is some of the best in the county...or maybe it is just the company.
Most restaurants around here are very busy but this one has some room. I had the steak and sausage hot plate. The steak was tender and delicious. Great seasoning on the steak. The service was friendly. That are open for breakfast too which I plan on trying soon.

This is a true mexican restaurant in Kenedy. You have to realize there arenât many choices in Kenedy...except mexican food. That said, this was fairly good. Iï¸ had the carne asada with rice and beans. Service was pretty good and the prices are reasonable.

The initial waitress had to get another waitress to answer our question about beers as she didn't speak english. To make thing easy, we ordered a couple buds. "Bodwiser" as it was spelled on our tab. I thought that since only one person spoke english that we would get some good authentic mexican food. This was not the case. The food was dry and tasteless. I guess the only reason to stop in that town is the cheap gas.
