Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Indian Trail. Indian Trail is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. Founded on March 12, 1861, the town holds a history of traders traveling along the "Indian Trail," which ran from Petersburg, Virginia, to the Waxhaw Indians, and gold mining. Indian Trail was first a farming community; however, German and Scot-Irish settlers began to move into the area due to its geographical location. In 1874, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was built between the cities Charlotte, North Carolina and Monroe, North Carolina. The railroad, which runs through the town, brought prosperity to the area. Indian Trail was incorporated as a town in 1907, with established city limits based upon a one-half mile radius from the intersection of Indian Trail Road and the Seaboard Railroad. Indian Trail has grown rapidly in the 21st Century: a 2011 CNN article stated that Indian Trail's census count jumped from 1,942 in 1990 to 33,518 in 2010. Every Fourth of July the town holds an annual parade which is one of the biggest parades in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

We had a reservation and were seated quickly. It went downhill from there. Took forever to get drinks, asked for hot salsa 3 times, waited to give our dinner orders, waited forever to get checks. Couldnât enjoy food, because service stunk

We so enjoy this place and will go to any one that we can find and I want to try everything on the menu. Daily specials feature some fun combos of food you might not ordinarily try - so check that out. Prices are inexpensive and food portions are large, and all of it is so tasty if you are a Latin food lover! Service is friendly, fast and very helpful if you need some of the dishes explained. They were doing a booming lunch business at this location, but we still were able to find a seat and food came out quickly. It's not super fancy, but it is good!

We have been regulars at Cactus Rose ever since moving to the greater Charlotte area in late 2013. VERY disappointed when they closed their old location, but THRILLED when they reopened at this address. I love their food, personalized service, extensive menu, and quality ingredients that make for outstanding food! My favorite is their chile rellenos, but I really enjoy everything I've ever eaten here. Family friendly dining, sometimes with special music and always with a touch of authentic Mexican food and hospitality. Highly recommended

I am a Taco Bell fan, so I really don't have anything negative to say, except they do seem to forget to pack my daughter's Taco roll up on a regular basis. The inside and outside are always clean. The staff always friendly and only once did I have an issue on getting a replacement for the forgotten roll up as I did not have my receipt. My husband is not a big fan of Taco Bell, but he always finds something he likes.

While deciding on where to eat dinner, we decided on Azteca since it has been several years since weâd been there. Couldnât remember why we didnât go back, but now I do.The entrance looked a little cluttered to me, with a lot of Mexican items and decor. I think the restaurant looked a little outdated and needs some updating, maybe some fresh paint or something. It was dark and maybe some lighter colors would help. It looked exactly the way it did the last time we ate there in the '90s.The restaurant had a 97.5 sanitation grade which is good. We were seated in a booth and while looking at the menu, I remembered that we stopped coming here because itâs overpriced. My husband and I both got the two tacos from the combination menu. They were good, but honestly, we can get them somewhere else that tastes better and is cheaper. The rice was dry and I added some salsa to it to give it some flavor and moisture. I don't eat beans so I can't tell you if they were good or not. I felt the salsa tasted watery, but it did still have a kick to it. Tacos were flavorless in my opinion and were filled with way too much lettuce. There is a gentlemen who goes from table to table making fresh guacamole, but we didnât order any.Our server was very friendly and was very attentive, sorry I didnât get her name, but she was a pretty blonde and was very busy. She kept my husbandâs Coke refilled, which made him happy.I wish I could say weâd go back, but I really donât we will; no complaints, just overpriced.
