Passing through town, we wanted Mexican and couldn't believe our luck to find this gem! Service was good, cute place, cozy ambiance, and excellent food. Take out at the counter or table service. The mixed meat salad was fresh & large portioned, the mango juice fresh and huge & delicious, tacos with fresh cilantro & onion delicious, and chips warm and freshly made. Would return again!
First I will start with the bad. The service is almost non-existent you can walk into this location and may not even know there is someone there because there may or may may not be someone in the front. Also if you don't speak Spanish you may have difficulty communicating. The owner's teenage daughter is sometimes there and she speaks English but if she is not present then you are on your own. The menu is a photocopy with the names of the dishes in Spanish and English for example "Pollo/Chicken" there are no prices on the menu and under Platillos (they forgot to translate entrees) there are no descriptions of any of the meals. So far you may think this is going to be a bad review, but it is not, because the food is fantastic. This is by far the best Mexican food in Rockland County. It has no bar serving tequila to drunken tourists, no giant sombreros or mariachis, just real Mexicans serving real food. Probably 90 percent of the clientele is Hispanic or Latino. You will not get giant cheese covered plates, the tacos and the tortas are authentic. The main courses are delicious and are worth going out of your way to enjoy them. I have visited this location on several occasions and it has always been surprisingly good with meals that exceed my expectations.

Food was very good and prices very reasonable. the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We wanted something we liked that was not on the lunch menu. They made the 2 dishes for us - no problem. Nicely decorated with beautiful views of the Hudson River. Will definitely return.

This place is a true gem. While they have the full assortment of the usual Mexican food, their specials are fabulous! I had the duck mole poblano. There are not enough adjectives to describe how delicious this was. We will return. The only downside is there is no bar area to speak of, so if you have to wait youâre just standing around.....but make the wait....itâs worth it

I have been here for the brunch - and really enjoyed their breakfast - really do not like American breakfast - plus their sangria special - wow they pack a punch = and love the Popsicle. Their tortilla chips are made on premise and I do enjoy the bean dip. All the food we have had was fresh. Went two nights ago with my good friend for her birthdayand said they had a backlog in kitchen so we went to the bar - and it was mojito night $6.00 - oh my gosh the variety was great!! tamarind, and mango delicious. Well our waiter Julio was a blast and thankfully we could stay and eat in the bar - I had the cerviche - which was delicious - flavor packed - not huge but tasty. My friend had carne asada - which was delicious. We finished off with fried ice cream that had its own little show - cute - it was ok. Note do not order decaf coffee -it is instant - regular coffee is not - Over all - I like this place - it was packed on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm For now it my go to place and want to try out more dishes -
