It's hard to miss the presence of Chihuahua in Ferndale, WA. It's an expansive venue, and well signed. Decided to try it for a late lunch. Greeted wonderfully by a charming hostess, and allowed to view through~~A delightfully inviting space, with cozy booths in both the bar and main dining area, and ample art to occupy the eye!The lighting is balanced, without the glare so often present in many spaces.Large, separate menu of margarita choices, with a special one for each day of the week, and reduced price. Food arrived quickly, piping hot, which I always appreciate. Our waiter was also the bartender, and did not disappoint when I requested a half drink later. The Cadillac Margarita is pure heaven. Have enjoyed them all over the globe, including Mazatlan, Mexico at the original Senor Frog ~~ Not heavy on lime, and extremely smooth is key.Ample street parking, with level access through the doors. Will definitely return~~!!

Our tamales are lard, shortening and Gluten free. They are all handmade from scratch. We are a small batch company and do not use large machinery. Just good ol' fashioned elbow grease! We believe that handmade is the BEST and ONLY way. All of our tamales
Having spotted their mobile New Mexico Tamale food truck at Barlean's Fishery a few days ago, it reminded me to again try the retail outlet on Third Avenue in Ferndale. We took home a dozen mixed Pork and Chicken tamales for $25. Absolutely excellent compared with previous examples from elsewhere. The store outlet has two tables inside for seating/eating on premises.(PS: check their web site for dates and locations of their food-truck as well)

This is a great place for Mexican food and entertainment! I ordered the tostada. It had an authentic taste with the perfect amount of cilantro! The drinks were very good as well!We were there on a Friday evening to hear Jeffrey Elvis perform and he was spectacular!Thursday evenings are reserved for line dancing and live bands on Fridays & Saturday nights. Theyâre address is Ferndale, Wa. Just off I-5 on the East side.
