Albion is a city in Calhoun County in the south central region of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,616 at the 2010 census and is part of the Battle Creek Metropolitan Statistical Area. From the time that the earliest English-speaking settlers arrived, the area has also been known as The Forks, because it is situated at the confluence of the north and south branches of the Kalamazoo River. The Festival of the Forks has been held annually since 1967 to celebrate Albion's ethnic heritage.

This was my first visit to Lopez's although my father as visited many times. It was a Friday evening and the place was packed. We found a table and were given menus quickly. We went with wet burritos, a chicken chimichanga, and taco salad. The servings were huge and very tasty. The staff was friendly and seemed to know most of the patrons. Great local place to get a delicious meal.

Without the benefit of Trip Advisor or another user review site we were forced to use the old-fashioned method; which restaurants appeared to be busy. Service was prompt and reasonably attentive. I though our meals were better tasting than those at similarly sized and situated Mexican restaurants, so all in all, we were pleased with our choice.
