Visited a lot of times. Food is always fresh and delicious. Host is great and can tell you everything about the food which is made with local ingredients. Highly recommended when you're visiting Zwolle.Also good for lunch and delicious coffee!

As the restaurant of our choice was fully booked, we accepted this recommendation. We were absolutely amazed.We chose the 5 course surprise menu and matching wines. The first course, carpaccio and chicken was very tasteful and satisfying. The second course, mustard soup, was refreshing and made room for the 3rd course, ceviche. Main course was dorade and a beautiful stewed meat and vegetables in a Tajine. All courses were really well prepared and offered beautiful flavors and textures. Matching wines were an addition and enhanced the overall experience. Desert was a heavenly combination of citrus and mint flavors while avoiding of being overly sweet. Service is friendly and attentive. The overall ambiance, high profile whilst keeping a relaxed atmosphere. We were delighted and consider traveling back and forth to visit this restaurant.

Visited whilst on business in Zwolle and was so pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive (and good looking!), and every single dish we ordered was so tasty and well presented. We ordered several repeats of the giant prawns, the spare ribs, chorizo and the avocado/salmon salad. They have some very good wines on the menu too. I can't wait to come back.

Bistro pampus is located almost on the city canal of Zwolle. It is a small and cozy restaurant. You can sit downstairs and upstairs. The upper floor is accessible by staircase. The entry was very casual and warm. The cheerful waiter who served our table is a passionate man who keeps explaining to us all wines and dishes. The food is delicious from the appetizer to the dessert. Not only the meat dishes but also the vegetarian dishes were super tasty. The chef has his kitchen sublime under control. Through the open kitchen you can see how the dishes are prepared. If you have difficulty walking, keep in mind that the toilets are upstairs. It was a very successful evening with family. We will be back :)

The restaurant is nice, not a very romantic option for a couple dinner, but a nice atmosphere for a easy going evening. Dishes are quite decent. Pizza was not bad at all, in the pasta options (we tried the truffle tortelloni and mushroom fettuccine) there was a bit too much cream but at the end it was not a bad choice of the chef considering they could not serve the plate just after being ready or you could have too many dishes at the same time and then get the pasta too sticky. Most of the dishes had an Italian name, but then the name itself does not correspond with the one they prepare: for example, they serve the brasato with tomato sauce, while it should be just cooked in red wine. It was not bad at the end, but quite disappointing if you expect something different. Similarly, in the menu there was Serrano jambon, while Parma ham (and we recognize the difference!) was served : equally nice and good quality, but still disappointing the mismatch. Dessert and wine definitely a bit too expensive for the proposition.
