We were looking for a place to eat near our hotel. This Indian restaurant is right next to the Nexus hotel and has plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly by the staff, we had made reservations. It was absolutely packed on a sun night. The decor is very beautiful with Indian sculptures and paintings. Our server Jaimie was efficient and wonderful. We started with some cocktails, a beer and mango juice. We had a mixed tandoori grilled appetizer. Lamb kebab, fish, chicken tikka. It was all delicious. We had a garlic naan which was massive with saag(creamed spinach)chickpeas and tadka dal. Both these dishes came with basmati rice. It was a great meal. We ended with a local pistachio and mango ice cream.

Consistently, Saltoro stands out. Great food, drinks and service make this a regular favorite. Starting with drinks, the wine list is kept up to date with new additions. Stand out entrees include the pappardelle pasta, lamb burger and the roasted salted chicken. On this trip we had the pasta, burger and shared the Saltoro salad. The staff and service are top notch. No matter how busy, they are friendly and efficient.

The extensive menu has a unique selection of Indian, Persian, and Mediterranean dishes. Our lunch-sized portions were flavorful, with quality ingredients. The decor and service feels traditional. Both are less casual than you would expect based on the plain exterior of the building and the name of the restaurant. (I associate kebab with more of a fast food Mediterranean place.) The service is understated professional, as is common in the countries of the cuisine. The one downside to the authenticity was the server's initial uncertainty about whether one of the items on the menu was available that day. Thankfully it was, but the experience took me back to restaurants in the Middle East.

Stopped by Time Out while on a road trip through Seattle. I highly recommend stopping here! Prices are reasonable and the food is very delicious. To top it all off the family that runs it are very kind & accommodating. Definitely a great choice if you're in the neighbourhood!
We got there at 6:00 on a weeknight. The small restaurant was empty and service was even faster than usual. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. I had the gyros platter and an order of spanakopita. The amount of gyros was fine, but the pieces of meat were quite small; the dish came with rice, hummus, a small Greek salad and pita. The spanakopita had a good taste, but had obviously been made quite a bit earlier. Plus, the phyllo was soggy. My wife had the falafel platter, also with rice, hummus, salad and pita. She thought that the falafel was good, but just a bit overcooked. We shared an order of Greek fries that may have been the best part of the meal. Overall, service is fast, the place is very clean, and while not cheap, the food is reasonably priced considering all the portions are substantial. For lunch, it beats any of the fast food burger places by a mile. For a take out dinner, it works. For a sit down dinner, we will probably look elsewhere.
