I go here at least once a month if not more. The quality is beyond expectations and quantity is always more than you pay for. The beef shawarma is my go to, but they have tons of other items that I have seen ppl get.Their falafels are the best in the GTA, best time is the morning, when they just open, they make more once the batch they made are done, but as i cannot say when that usually is, the morning is a safe bet.

Chef Tommy's is an old-school, family-run Greek restaurant. Huge plates. You will be quite full and have left-overs. The service is very personal with the owner coming to greet you and help you order and have a pleasant conversation with you too, like you are visiting their family. So you will feel like you dropped by a friend's house.

Family owned. Family run. We provide a Mediterranean and Greek inspired cuisine, made fresh to order!
as always the food and service were excellent. I particularly appreciated the Maitre D. When my fork was collected inadvertently, I picked one off of an empty table and immediately replaced it. After his light touch I knew he's seen me pick it up. Quiet, quick, and pleasant attention to details! It is great for lunch when the noise level is not so high

A TAVOLA means "to the table". Regardless of our cultural background, when the call goes out for everyone to come "to the table" we all understand that it's time to eat! We sit...We eat...We drink...We come together as a family. So, here we say "A TAVOLA!
We have attended A Tavola several times now - mostly for dinner and are never disappointed (once for lunch). The staff is friendly and WELL INFORMED on the menu and it's ingredients. The meals are beautifully flavoured and presented, using locally sourced products. The Chefs Vito and Ryan often come out to speak to their guests and are receptive and informative. It used to be difficult to get in without a reservation but they have since more than doubled their size/capacity. Reservations are still recommended because it's a popular spot for fine dining - there are no tvs to distract you from your dining partner or your dining experience. Highly recommended.

I travel all around the GTA for work and this is my absolute favourite place for lunch! I often opt for shawarma cause it's one of the healthiest 'fast foods' out there. Because of that, I've tried numerous shawarma resto's throughout TO. This is the best one out there, by a long shot!Firstly, the quality is nothing less than amazing. My husband is a chef and we are world traveller foodies, so we're not easy pleased (I've brought him out here to enjoy the shawarma too). The ingredients are top quality: best cuts of lean meat, fresh deliciously prepared veg and OMG the mind-blowing home-made flat bread! The proportions are tremendously generous, as well. As such, it's quite popular and can be busy at lunchtime - however I'm sure that anyone with half a brain realizes that's the price you pay, if you want the best. They are all hard workers and do their upmost to give you exactly what you want and in all my visits I've had nothing but pleasant exchanges with all the staff.I am baffled at the odd review that claim this establishment is anything less than spotless. They're fastidious about donning gloves and it's cleaner than most Timmy's I've visited. It makes me question if someone has an axe to grind with the owners, especially since all the 'horrendous' reviews don't seem to come from seasoned contributors...and the 'Pakistani' reference is appalling - since this place is actually run by a Lebanese family. If you're ever in the vicinity, or even if you aren't - I can't recommend this place enough. I guarantee that once you've tried their home-made shawarma (or pretty much anything else on the menu), you'll be spoiled for anything else! My only hope is that someday they open a location closer to my immediate neighbourhood.
