A lovely warm greeting set the scene for a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. The overall experience was good and the food was excellent. I chose a starter with tomato, prawns, monkfish and salad followed by deliciously cooked Noix de Saint Jacques. I wasn't too sure though about the accompanying legumes provencale which felt a bit too heavy a contrast for such a delicate dish. My husband chose the chevre chaud starter and a dish from the specials board. He said it was delicious and I benefitted from the seafood that came in the creme sauce! Coffee was very good too. One helpful comment I hope would be to put the instructions regarding the toilet lighting system in English as well as French. Wasn't a problem for me but could be for some!! Very pleased we went and will definitely go again.

We ate here twice on our recent stay and thoroughly enjoyed our meals on both occasions. The pizzas were excellent and the pasta dishes were also very good. We also had desserts and these were delicious too (one person was over the moon with the banana split as you can see from the photo)! Service was very friendly and efficient. Definitely our favourite restaurant in Monflanquin.effectivement la petite fille a l air très heureuse de sa banana spilt!merci pour toutes ces gentillesses.au plaisir!

If the weather's with you, eat au terrace where you can sit under the shade looking out onto the lovely verdant garden. If not, don't worry, there is ample inside dining space. Ring ahead to book during the hot season to be sure of a table. Carolinne and Florence work together in perfect symbiosis as chef and front of house in their well thought out renovated home on the hill in Cadouin. Their philosophy is to welcome guests into their home as they would friends, offering them tasty, good quality, home-cooked food produced by people they know and trust in the local area. They work in harmony with nature with what is in season to produce delicious, succulent dishes with hints of the far east and other unusual twists. Don't venture here if you like your food laden with cream or gravy as the cooking here is fresh, light and modern. The wine list is small but interesting and perfectly complements the menu. Les Terraces is open every day for lunch and evening meals all year round so does not rely solely on the tourist trade. It's not in the centre of town but only a minute's drive up the hill overlooking the abbey and definitely worth seeking out if you're looking for something a little less predictable than the usual in-town tourist restaurants that only open up for the season.

The place is arguably one of the best pizzerias in VsL with good services, fine dining setting and charming atmosphere. Food is relatively good and the menu selections are value for money. Each serving is generous and offers a wide mixture of things, which I found a bit too many and confusing like anchovies and capers in Caprese salad. Pizzas were nice. My faux filet was perfectly cooked (rare) and tender although the cheese sauce was overwhelming. Food was generally low in salt. My cheese platter was a bit too simple for the types of cheese offered (mozzarella, gorgonzola and parmesan) considering that we were in France. What I didnât like was the olive snacks that was overpowered by garlic and made the whole place a bit smelly. Table service was efficient except we didnât get our bread early enough. Waitresses worked hard. Owner was accommodating to our special request. Food was served in good timing. A bit too crowded between tables. Nevertheless, a good abd popular place to have good pizzas and be well served.

Such a thoughtful and considered restaurant in every way from the decor, scenery, ambience and menu. Great for families too with the zip wire and trampoline (within sight but not so close to disturb other diners). Donât miss it if you are in the area, thoroughly recommended. When we went all mains came with a lovely salad (pictured). Overall great value, great experience and great food!
