Nice food, well-tempered staff, easy access way. I am fan of Turkish food and grill and restaurant had nice and acceptable Turkish food. Kufta and Iskandar was nice (I tried also Adana kebab also which was average in compare with other Turkish experience).

Not knowing the area, this restaurant was recommended by a friend. When we arrived there was a great atmosphere which continued throughout the evening. We received a warm welcome, the waiter walked us through the menu and made some recommendations. The dishes were served quickly and were very tasty. Despite it being so busy Adam, the manager, was stopping by tables to chat to guests which was a great personal touch and helped make a great evening. I'd recommend you try Pueblo Tapas if you're ever in the area.

Came here randomly for lunch as I was on a lunch break from working out in Huntington Beach. I really loved the name of the place. At first it was a little hard to tell if they were open or not, but Trip Advisor said they were, so I went in and was so suprised to see the place packed! That's always a good sign. I just had the Kale salad, which was amazing. I'm not ususally into salads too much (especially Kale), but my waiter told me it was one of his favorites so I gave it a try. Yum Yum! It was very good & I was very impressed! So 2 thumbs up for Black Trumpet!!

Ordered the Mix Grill ($24.95 lunch) and it was a filling meal for two ... with leftovers. The grilled Kofta/Spicy Kofta was very good - just spicy enough. The chicken was flavorful but dry. The Beef was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. Meal came with salad, rice, pita bread, grilled tomatoes, grilled bellpepper & seasoned (marinated) onions. The onions were very good and far superior to grilled. The rice was cooked perfectly - moist & tasty. Beef was cooked just right and it too had lots of flavor. The Cheese Rolls ($4.95 lunch) were plentiful and cooked in fresh oil. Everything was fresh and homemade. Visited Saturday afternoon and many customers coming & going. Looks like a popular spot. Small family restaurant located in a strip mall. Decor and ambience was comfortable & relaxing. Service was friendly and welcoming. Free off street parking. Enjoyed our visit/meal and will be back.

Limited items for luncheon buffet. Items not labeled so be prepared to cross your fingers. One chicken item. Only one pizza offered in buffet (pepperoni). Food lacked flavor, substance and meat. Dessert extra. Have been to several Mediterranean buffets and this one is the worst. Ambience lacking. Was there around 1pm and 3 other tables occupied. When we left it was a ghost town. Lunch buffet is $8.99 and ends at 3 pm. Frankly, was shocked to read favorable reviews before coming. Had eaten here years ago and it was on my list of never again. But had to give it a second chance ... Mistake.
