My wife has several food allergies so before traveling to Washington D.C. from upstate N.Y.we researched lunch options. This restaurant had many choices without soy and dairy ingredients. She had a great lunch but I had an awesome lunch with no dietary restrictions. The flavors of the ingredients in my wrap melded together to create a delicious sandwich. I had a wrap with spicy lamb meatballs, tzaziki sauce , hummus and various other ingredients including fresh mint leaves. My wife also had a wrap, with falafel, Kalamata olives and tomatoes. We both opted for cups of ice waters but were amazed that we could eat anywhere in this city for a mere $16. We did walk a little ways from the capital mall area but would do it again to eat here.

My wife and I had dinner for our first night in Washington DC and we were not disappointed. We did not have a booking but they worked something out very quickly and found us some seats; I have to mention they were extremely busy as well. We sat down and ordered our food which was great; a bit of twist on the traditional Greek food but it was a pleasant surprise. The ambience was great, the food was tasty and the service was impeccable. Overall it was a perfectly pleasant night

Admittedly, we went here with high expectations. Service was very good--friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We tried a number of dishes including the bacon wrapped dates, the shrimp with garlic, the baby squid sauteed with white beans, the grilled hanger steak and the patatas bravas. The shrimp, the hanger steak and the bravas were all good to very good, but didn't have the wow factor. The dates and the baby squid were OK at best. Went to another Andres' restaurant a few doors down the block, China Chilcano, and was blown away by the food. Perhaps it's just a matter of individual taste. That said, glad I tried it.

The menu is fairly varied. Clients can chose from 3 different sizes - tapas- half portion and portion-. It is a bit expensive. In general the portions are sufficient. The best was the magret de pato and the buñuelos de bacalao. The banete was so so so. The bread is good. The place is noisy. The service will benefit from improvement. The wine was served after the first tapas were almost finished. The waitress cross their arms all over the table. Training is needed.

I can't even begin to describe how incredible the food was. We stopped in for lunch while in D.C. for a conference and nabbed the last two spots at the bar, thankfully. The menu itself is constantly changing, but we had an amazing tomato/basil/crostini appetizer that as perfectly flavored and then a grilled chicken dish that was pounded flat and layered with arugula, garlic, olive oil and citrus. So so good!
