What a surprise!
Reviewed By jacojoerooyenWe were especially accommodated on a late request. Owners were so welcoming and friendly. Rooms were neat and clean - with a bit more than we expected! We had a great warm sleeping experience. Will definitely recommend and book ourselves again in future.

Perfect location
Reviewed By 401staceygI was fortunate enough to spend two weeks at Down to Earth Guesthouse and it was the perfect stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They even allowed me to use their private kitchens to cook as the rooms do not come with cooking facilities (microwave, fridge and kettle are provided). The best part of the stay was the location. Everything you needed was no more than 2km away - everything from gyms (x2 crossfits and virgin active), at least 10 different restaurants and cafes, bars, the main university campus, Spar and petrol stations. I literally did not need to start my vehicle for the entire 2 weeks. Overall a great stay and definitely recommended.

Alec Wright’s guest lodge is situated in a beautiful part of the town of Potchefstroom in the North West. It is in close proximity to the “Kenneth McArthur Sports Stadium”, the “Olien Park Rugby Stadium”, the public swimming pool, and the train station. The Potchefstroom campus of the North West University is approximately 1.5 kms down the road and Potchefstroom Boys High School is across the road. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite TV. A microwave and fridge are also featured, as well as a coffee machine. Guests at the lodge can enjoy a buffet breakfast. A terrace is available for guests at Alec Wright's Guest Lodge to use. Popular points of interest near the accommodations include Potchefstroom Museum, President Pretorius Museum and Senwes Park

Reviewed By W5345WHkevinaWhat a great relaxing experience. I stayed for 3 nights and was made to really feel at home. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts offered a great variety catering for all tastes with good service from the staff. My room was large and very clean with everything in it that I needed. Congratulations to the owners. When you arrive as strangers and leave as friends it really says something. We will be back next year.

Reviewed By LipstickTissueI went here for a conference and had a blast. The staff were super accommodating and the food was delicious. The natural beauty is unmatched, and definitely worth a stop overnight. Great bar and restaurant area. Lots to do. If you’re in the area, it’s worth the weekend. Enter from the east!
5. The Ancient Copper Shed
Where silence echoes . it us a peaceful and tranquil setting. the focus is to relax, rest and reconnect with yourself and nature. There are three units. Two units have sleeping arrangements for four people including a king bed and two 3/4 beds. The other unit have sleeping arrangements for five people which includes a king size bed and three 3/4 beds. The units each have each own braai facilities
