Tanaku Lodge and staff are first rate! Accommodations and all of the delicious meals made by “T” and her staff were exemplary. My husband and my two brothers joined me for 5 days of fishing. Pretty cold and windy most of the time, but boy did we catch the fish! Highlight was bringing in a 107# and 214# Halibut. The views each day were gorgeous, especially the Orca Whale sightings. If we can, hope to return soon.

Greatly enjoyed our fifth trip to Elfin Cove Resort Hospitality: A++, Mike and team sustain a fantastic atmosphere! Meals: A, great variety, seconds if one has any room and deserts to dream about. Lodging: A, cleaned daily, extremely comfortable in a remote location and an amazing view Fishing: A, Capt. Bruk (sp?) and Deckhand Cooper worked very hard to put us on fish. Cooper was amazing on deck, especially when we were had numerous Black Rockfish coming over the rail. Fish cleaning and packing: A++ We really appreciate Mike going the extra mile for our special family celebration with Champaign and cake!!! During this COVID pandemic, many small businesses are struggling. Elfin Cove Resort sustained their past excellence on our trip in August, 2020. Thank you Mike, Capt. Bruk, Joe, Michael and Cooper!!!

The entire experience here at Waters Edge Lodge was Unbelievably Perfect!! The entire Staff Team here is second to none. The Lodge handles all accommodations for you so all you need to worry about is reeling in Massive Alaskan Fish. The Boats, Tackle, Bait, Rain Gear and 4 daily Meals are all included. You are assigned your own lodging Staff and Dockhand on arrival. Our trip started with a Wonderful Scenic Float Plane ride from Juneau into the Lodge location (I'm told they have a custom large capacity Catamaran on the way soon which will substitute this in the near future which will offer closer views to all the wildlife on the way in). Every single morning you are greeted with breakfast and smiling faces from the staff(even if it is 3-4 in the morning), They send a hand selected lunch for each fisherman in a dry bag on the boat as well as an ice chest fully loaded with your drinks of preference. Your dockhand will see you too and from the boat each day and makes it a point to ask if there is anything additional he can provide to make the trip out better than the last. You are also on the same VHF radio channel as the lodge and staff members and other boats from the Lodge so if you have any technical difficulties on the water they can usually walk you through a quick fix without interrupting the fishing. After your day of fishing all you do is pull the Boat to the Dock and walk away, the Staff ties up the Boat, unloads your box full of Fish and restocks Bait and Tackle for the next day and gives the boat a quick cleaning. Dinner and Desert each night was fantastic! Daily laundry service was very nice since you will bring limited clothing with you to make room for the countless boxes of Fish on the way home. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We finished the 5 days of fishing with 14 boxes (nearly 700 lbs.) of perfectly packed/frozen fish-all of which was still rock solid frozen after the 11 hours of travel home. Every angler I spoke to caught the fish they were after and most even limited out daily. I will recommend this outfit to absolutely anyone interested in the trip of a lifetime. A huge thank you to Owners-Kelly and Mary, Lodging staff Breanna, Lou and Jake, and our Dock staff Jeremy and Zach. You guys were incredible!! Can't wait to come back!

This beautiful and well constructed lodge and cabins on Gull Cove is a special place for our family. We have stayed there 4 or 5 times and always had a great experience. Each cabin sleeps two and has heated floors and nice bathrooms with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The lodge is comfortable and the food excellent. Fresh green salads with salmon or halibut and home baked bread. Bring in your own wine and booze — the lodge provides soft drinks. You can fly through Juneau to Gustavus and take the boat from Glacier Bay to the lodge OR fly directly via seaplane out of Juneau right to the dock. We saw orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, seals, otters, eagles and bear over 5 day in late June. Great halibut fishing as well as salmon. No internet or cell service so a perfect place to just unplug and commune with nature and family or friends.
