A small hotel, good value for the price, small pool, just across the street to beach/restaurants. Beach: a pity, that they only clean HALF of the beach with the Caterpillar driving accompanied by 6 staff - other half with a lot of garbage they ignore. Why?

My husband keeps praising the resort, and asked me why we didn't stay one more night. He enjoyed the unique breakfast experience, it was a wonderful spread outside our villa. However we had to compete with ants to finish it. I was happy with the fridge which we used to chill our beer and other drinks, dishes and microwave to heat up our supper from the nearby night market, warm water for shower, TV with local channels that we spent the late night watching, and other basic hotel amenities. The resort is located behind the main road, so there is a small path which felt a little scary to walk at night, but nothing happened to us, thankfully. We didn't get to use the pool and fitness corner as our stay was too short. Traveling back and forth from Bangkok took about 2 hours each way.

Stayed here while on route to Pattaya and wanted to find a seaview, near beach place that is less than 1500baht per night. Got the room at about 1200baht after driving around bang saen to look for the ideal one. Did not regret a single bit. Hotel may not be spectacular, but u do get abit of the seaview from a balcony which was decent. I was in room 202 and can almost walked straight to the small pool which is good for a tan and chilling with a beer at night. Theres 2 7-11 left and right of the hotel and there are quite a few nice bars (unlike those at pattaya, even though some do have "sexy" waitresses trying to get your attention) and restaurants. Theres free parking as well. Overall bang saen is a better place for relaxation tham the nearby Sriracha and Laen chabang.

Last weekend we decided to get away for a few days to Bangsaen beach, an hours drive from our house in Bangkok. We took a chance and booked Harbour House B&B through agoda. We really didnt know what to expect as we usually star in 4 or 5 star hotel. This was rated as only 2 star. When we arrived we were greeted with smiles from the very pleasant owners. They immediately tried to help with our bags and baby stroller. The check in process was very quick and within minutes we were in our room, which was clean and ready for us, along with clean towels etc. Over the course of the 2 days and nights we were there, the staff were very kind and even took our 1 year old son to play with the gold fish etc whilst we ate our meal (food was also good here). They gave good suggestions were to hang out at day also. We visited the marine science centre, in the nearby university (farang should carry wrk permit for local price!), which was interesting. Over all this was a great little hotel with tons of character and personality from the lovely owners. Will definately return.
